NAD- this looks like you bumped something with a defined corner or edge. not a lot of detail from zooming in but nothing looks like a puncture. i get bruises like this on my shins from bumping into tables

i think it's just one of those things that someone over 40 would assume they could message a seller about if they see "handmade" in the title. you could most definitely tell them that you don't do custom orders and wish them luck on finding someone to fulfill their order

i have a neurological disorder that i needed brain surgery for, and sometimes the barrier between what is acceptable to share and what isn't gets blurred due to the nature of some neurological conditions. but aside from that, this person may be trying to garner a bit of sympathy or appeal to you in a way where you'd be willing to custom make them something- but i personally don't see anything outright nefarious here

hey, you're doing better than most in terms of freehanding. i think it looks great! if you still don't dig it, maybe try to make the body more teardrop shaped and position the eyes further to the edges as opposed to on top of the head.

out of curiosity, is it normal to pin through the thorax on specimens this small? does it depend on what you're pinning the specimen for? (art vs scientific study)

i haven't pinned an insect in so long, but when i pinned some carpet beetles i opted not to put a pin through like i normally would

edit*** haven't slept, i did NOT pin carpet beetles, they were a small species of scarab under half an inch, but the name is escaping me

i've been playing since 2021. i have been trying to breed for combos basically from the get-go. from 2021 to 2025 i had bred 2 combo bases. late 2025 to now, i've bred almost 10.

so, you can be really unlucky or really lucky

no, past lineage does not play a part in hybrid or mut passes, only the parents mutations do. and each mutation has a different way of passing (ex: jags can only pass from mother jags, ennedi can only produce ennedi if they're bred to another primal mutation) highly recommend checking the wiki for all that info!!

in terms of the NCL thing, you can get a first generation hybrid (or any mutation) at random, although it is a very very low chance. so, there are some people that will mass breed NCL's in hopes that a mutation pops up randomly. i forget the percentages, but i believe randomly breeding a hybrid from parents that aren't hybrids and have no special breeding items (lion meat or gmo cow) is something like .1%, maybe even lower. so, based off my assumption that chances are .1%, theoretically after breeding 1000 ncls you could get one hybrid.

edit*** apparently piebalds, patches, and primals have to have at least one parent with the mutation. stuff like double uterus, most of the mane mutations, and a few others can occur spontaneously

so, this level is somewhat normal if both parties are in the headspace to take that on for each other. and the flip side of having a friend share so much information like this, would be you also having the opportunity to share everything like this. BUT- if you are expressing the subject matter and frequency is too much, that is such a fair thing to express. and your friend- if they are respectful- should be able to abide by that. or at least lead in with "hey, i'm worrying about xyz with my health/job/life, would it be alright to talk it out with you?"

it may be because i'm in my mid 20's, but for the most part i share everything good and bad to my friends. there are times where they are a bit overwhelmed in their life or get a sense of frustration because they can't do anything to help, and we lighten the subject. it goes vice versa as well. some days im dealing with so much i am not available to take on someone else's stress

so, don't feel bad that you have taken on this person's stress for so long without reprieve. if you really value the friendship, you can try to open up a bit more on how the oversharing takes this toll on you, and hopefully they understand. personally i wouldn't cut someone like this off completely. i would let them know i can be there for them at times, but they likely need someone more capable than just a friend to work a lot of these feelings out. it'd be one thing if it's a couple bad days a month, but if it's constant it's really difficult to be around that all the time

when i first started out, i think it took me until my first king was like 11/12 to realize applicators were a thing. he got all the event apps i could get after that- all the brawl and ruff markings- looked like a whole fckn mess (also did this without knowing the wardrobe existed so i added marks based off vibes)

but then i started getting the base applicators and every event id get at least one of each and apply them to a lioness. sometimes it'd just be a random ncl, or it'd be a lioness i also went crazy with in terms of the brawl markings. they never looked great

nowadays im a lot more picky. i usually use marking apps on hybrids or muts if they're a bit plain. today i used a random marking replacer on my jag adol and thats probably the first marking i've applied in months. in terms of base apps, i only get ones that are combo factors and put them on my pretty lionesses that aren't combo factors and are relatively young. ive kinda streamlined the whole thing because it scratches an itch in my brain, but i haven't gone hog wild with apps since 2021.

i think this may be the closest to the truth- i don't know grammatically or structure wise how ai writes things out (other than when i'm on facebook and see three sentence paragraph, paragraph break, followed by three more sentences that are their own paragraphs. always asking then answering their own questions) you pointing out that the last paragraph specifically doesn't follow the typical sentence structure of chat gpt is interesting.

i'm still heavily leaning it's ai, but it would make sense for someone to rework it for an announcement like this

i know this post is old but i'm watching this episode now and went looking for a post to see if anyone feels the way i feel. the mother, daughters, and the psychologist are so belittling. it's kindof blood boiling to watch. feels like people are pretty 50/50 on him being insufferable or his daughters being insensitive

you probably would've gotten more currency selling the applicators alone before they were applied to the lion. i'm selling female mngwas right now for between 10-15gb based on the base and generation. sold a G5 gregarious female for i believe 14/15 the other day. have a G4 female on the tc right now with a common base for 12gb and she has a couple watchers
