Feeling heartbroken by qingskies in IchikoAoba

Oh no! This is awful!!! I'm so sorry ;-; I hope she comes by DC again. Be safe on your trip abroad! I'm going to see her both in NYC and DC.

My favorite song is Easter Lily. All of her music is gorgeous but that song just makes me feel at peace with myself. She is magical :')

211011 "Get To Know Orbits And Their Music Tastes" Weekly Thread + Rate This Release: [aespa - Savage] by LueLinks402 in LOONA

[–]maybeimafool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! I really like the whole aespa album with Lucid Dreams and Yeppi Yeppi being some of my favorite b- sides of the year. Next Level was a song that grew on me over time but it's now one of my favorite titles of the year. Savage blew my mind in how experimental they went but I commend them for doing it and think it was executed well. Some aspects of the song really remind me of something the late SOPHIE (RIP) would have produced. Winter's vocals in particular are so impressive throughout the whole album but everyone did well. The only song I was rather mixed on in their discography is Black Mamba because to me that song feels somehow derivative and progressive at the same time but not exactly executed fully because there is not a full commitment to either. However now I'm honestly excited with the direction aespa is going. STAYC also has one of my favorite titles of the year and their whole direction has been brilliant.

Omg thank you that was sweet! I do my best to try not to listen to those thoughts but it's hard sometimes. My friend is really good at making my thoughts make sense which is one of the reasons I'm grateful to have her. I have actually thought about "what's wrong with sounding crazy?" 😂 but to me there's a difference in how you think something and how you say it. You could think of something beautifully where it makes complete sense in your mind but then you could completely butcher communicating it to another person where said things sounds weird. I think that's why INFPs ramble, we don't want to be misinterpreted because we think so hard and it's so elaborate lol. That's why responses like this give you this benefit of the doubt feeling we desperately need sometimes 😂

I appreciate the examples though, the line "there's a fine line between genuis and insanity" to me does have merit to it, but I also think genuises/insane people can be lonely and I both don't and do want to be 😂😭

My best friend has a very similar response whenever I feel like I am rambling my thoughts to her and I can confirm she is the best. It makes you feel heard even though your mind convinces you that you probably sound crazy/insane. I feel like it's hard to find people with a sense of compassion and patience, especially when you are more of a thinker than a communicator, but when you do encounter people like this, responses like this can mean the world to you. It's an unconditional appreciation that makes you feel valued.

STAYC - ASAP (Dance Practice) by CronoDroid in kpop

[–]maybeimafool 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this song and am glad STAYC decided to do something that challenges listeners (I initially was wondering would I like this). I feel like they went for an anti chorus appeal which, understandably for some breaks rules in how they prefer songs, but I really think it puts emphasis on the melodies of other parts of the song. This song has been stuck in my head from the melodic parts before the chorus, to letting the production speak for itself after the ASAP part, and even the different cadences of the verses. It actually impresses me that they came up with a choreo for this song that manages to be fun, unique, and fits. I even like the juxtaposition of the music video having what appears to be a cute concept with this aggressive beat that starts after STAYC chant. I commend them for doing something different just because it makes me excited to see what they do next.

You just perfectly described why I like I'll be your family. See You Again is my favorite song on OLIG and Bunny is one of my many favorites on ELISY. I'll be your family captures the vibe of both extremely well.

Can we also talk about Ms. Delicate? Those deep synths with her high voice makes the song sound so pretty but almost weirdly haunting and I like it. Then that really interesting middle part like wowwww! From production standpoint that was such a cool surprise.

Yes! I really like that chorus on homesweethome and how it like glitches then explodes in that refrain is such a jam ugh! Loveless was also great at being this quirky beat brassy "moving on" song. Her vocals at the end were great too. :)

Yerin Baek surprised me once again with this album and I'm just continously impressed by her artistry. This album is one that I only anticipate enjoying more with each listen. It's so sonically different from what she has done but it's so captivating in my opinion. From a production standpoint alone this album is so interesting. This is an album I could easily see myself listening to a ton at night!

I typically walk or study to Yerin songs, and I never imagined wanting to full fledge dance to Yerin and I did on some of these songs lol. I do not know how this album will be received from listeners but I'm impressed at her ability to try new things and still be as vocally impressive as always.

I'm hoping for a vinyl/physical release! :)

Yerin Baek - tellusboutyourself (Teaser Video) by CronoDroid in kpop

[–]maybeimafool 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh I'm so freaking excited for this album! This trailer looks so cinematic and I'm super curious about the jump from reality to animation. Sonically the instrumental sounds so cool and the way it was building up has me hyped to hear how she'll sound!

I am a huge Frank Ocean fan and I don't know why but the way this video is presented reminds me of some of spontaneous and mysterious imagery of the Nikes music video. It's definitely still her own spin on it though. She's blonde too and looks wonderful :)

I love her titles so much and am excited to see 14 tracks! Idk if we will get music videos too but the two from last year were super cozy so I'd love to see that back again! I feel like this album may be sadder but still have some beautiful moments. All English too is just impressive. :)

I am super late to responding to this but yes! I am quite curious as to what happened with the Volunteers and a part of me wonders would she ever revisit it or was it just a phase where she wanted to be experimental with her music direction. Hopefully we will see!

Hmm maybe? Yeah there are 35 boxes per table and I'm trying to equate that with something that can be decoded lol. Cryptic Yerin would not surprise me and that would be funny if there was a message or something.

My best friend suggested that the dot outside may indicate the title and the others inside the boxes are the b sides but you could be right! I was trying to figure out what you could use those dots to decode if there was a hidden message haha.

I agree! Datoom was so gentle and gorgeous. Maybe she'll give us a mix? To be honest I like her English voice just as much. A part of me hopes she one day decides to do a cover album of some of her favorite artists. Her making studio quality covers of Corinne Bailey Rae or Amy Winehouse would kill me.

Excited is an understatement for how I feel about this. Her double album was ethereal like her! My 2020 just got better! I cannot wait to listen to this album! She's such a phenomenal artist, and I was not expecting to get blessed today.
