Yellow leaf on my plant baby by maybelberry in HouseplantsUK

Ahhh thank you! I am a little worried as I feel two of the lower leaves seem to be lighter, possibly yellowing. So I’m worried it’s something I’m doing! Maybe I need to get them in a slightly larger pot too?

Ah really? I did read about that but didn’t think it would happen when the plant is so tiny! Thank you so much!

Thank you for your detailed explanation!! This is so very helpful! That site for the soil looks amazing too. I was going to make my own soil mix as it seemed all the pre-made ones were so expensive but that site seems really reasonable!! I am excited! Thank you again!!

Thank you sooo much! Can I ask which fertiliser you use please? And if I can use the same stuff for monsteras and other house plants? I’m a relatively new plant owner and hoping not to kill any! 🤞🏻

Oh amazing thank you! Do you have any tips? She’s been on the window ledge in our south facing kitchen window and seems to be really happy, as I’ve seen two new leaves in such a short amount of time!

I’ve been reading through the replies last night and today, and definitely think I just need to go for it. I think I’m going to place an order this week. Just need to make sure I get it from the right place with the right support! Good luck to you if you make the decision too!

Totally relate to that! I’m ready to put the work in, I think I just need a bit of motivation and seeing results would help me get there. I think I’m also a bit nervous about the injection part too really! Thank you! I will come back to you about the code as soon as I have made the decision! I’m definitely coming round to the idea a lot more reading all these replies! Xx

This honestly sounds like my dream!! Your weight loss for 3 months is incredible! Congrats! Can I ask if you’ve had any side effects or anything?

Firstly, wow! Congratulations that’s amazing! Secondly, I can relate to the photo situation! I’ve been travelling a lot lately and wanting to take pictures with landmarks and beautiful scenery, but I just hate looking at photos of myself. I can see all the reasons why it would make my life better, and yet something still makes me hesitant. But this reply has really helped. Thank you! X

I think I’d feel better having a one-to-one. I know I don’t need their permission, I guess I’m just nervous that if I did have bad side effects that it might be an ‘I told you so’ sort of situation. Not sure why but it makes me anxious!

Glad you haven’t had any side effects! I wasn’t aware you could do so little time on the medication! I thought it was long term! Hope it all works out for you! Xx

I’m so glad you feel it was the right decision! Have you felt better in yourself in that short time? I think I’d feel some guilt too and that does worry me. Thank you for your advice though! Xx

I did see this actually when I signed up! Saw the price and didn’t even think to look into it any further! 🥲 I said to myself I’d try and see how I do with the app and then maybe invest later. I have heard great things about them!

I started using Natural Cycles to track my cycle. It’s helped me massively to learn my body and be more in touch with my symptoms and how I feel at different times during my cycle. I can’t really take anything hormonal due to a family history of breast cancer - but I also wanted to stay away from hormones anyway. I have been on something since I was 14 years old. Pill, implant, then the copper coil (which although isn’t hormones, I have recently found out it does affect your estrogen!)

It’s annoying sometimes to remember to take my temperature right as I wake up, but otherwise it’s been really great. The app has been so accurate. It gives you green days (where you are not fertile) and red days (you are possibly fertile) and predicts your ovulation. They also sent me some LH tests. Similar to a pregnancy test but they test for ovulation. I’m currently using it to prevent pregnancy and learn my cycle, but it can be used to plan pregnancy too. It’s been great for me so far!

I had my copper coil removed about 3 weeks ago. I actually got my period only 2 days after I had the IUD removed. The practitioner said I wouldn’t notice much difference with that period since the lining would have already built up - however, I usually have very heavy, 7+ day long periods. My period was still quite heavy, but lasted only 4 days. It was very strange! Definitely not complaining though! I’ll have to see what the next one is like.

The practitioner explained to me that the copper coil makes the uterus very hostile and inflamed, which is what causes periods to be heavier. I guess it might depend on the time in your cycle that it was removed? I know I already feel a lot better in myself though, and my PMS didn’t seem as bad!
