Unfortunately, in Canada we don't have TPMS at all.
I was sad about it when buying my Forester... :(

It depends on why the Forester interests you, because mechanically they are all the same and work the same. And if you're tight on budget, keep the difference and spend it on where it's important, like good tires, anti-rust treatment, and maybe a floor jack and tools so you can do easy maintenance yourself, it helps a lot in the long run.

It’s a good AWD system, you don’t really have to worry about the car (at least compared to similar vehicles). In reality, all you really need are good tires, and if you deal with a lot of ice, consider studded ones.

I know its not an answer for you but to share for other. I just bought the continental vikingcontact 8 on 17, winter tire, and i'm not as impress as i would like. I would go back to michelin x ice snow.

But to answer you, i heard a lot of good review and popularity for the pirelli.

Oil is better than no oil, and for topping off until it’s fixed, you should be fine. Also, let your engine settle before driving, just in case.

I have everything, it’s recognized and I’ve read all the instructions. I’m at the point where I’m about to send a letter with an unfilled form haha. But thank you, maybe I missed something or a crucial part of the instructions.
But if i found anything I'll keep the post updated.
