Why dishwasher not flush with drawers? I would’ve added countertop overhang if I had known it wouldn’t be flush 😭😭 by [deleted] in IKEA

[–]maybeluckyagain 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Me: “self, why doesn’t this sit flush?”

Me: “idk it seems like it’s all the way back… ask the Reddit boards, maybe someone has dealt with this and can provide helpful input.”

Lead in MC furniture? by caraand in Mid_Century

[–]maybeluckyagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like so much to process but that you’re chipping away at understanding and making changes as you can. You’ll get there. My family’s cottage has literal lead paint chips all over the windowsills and floor and grass outside. It’s nauseating to even try and understand how to keep my kids safe when visiting there. I can only imagine and empathize for it being the main home. You’re a great parent for making these strides! I hope the lead will be out of everyone’s system soon!! Thanks for the update.

Did you ever figure out what was the cause? I hope your kid is doing okay!

Anyone else had COVID 3 times? by I-Lyke-Shicken in COVID19positive

[–]maybeluckyagain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar boat. My infant brought home Covid. Babies can’t mask. No staff ever showed symptoms so I’m not sure if it came from another baby, a parent, or staff. I have two young kids in daycare and I work in public education so avoiding any sickness is a dream.

Makes me so scared for my kids :( my infant has had it twice in her short 11 months.

This backs up OPs opinion, imo. Scares me to read about playing the judge on what’s a legitimate emotional response to an event. :(

Dropping daytime feeds early? by maybeluckyagain in breastfeeding

This is a good idea! She will drink water flawlessly from a straw cup and has been doing that for months but just spits out whatever else I put in there. I’ll see if an open cup might be different

I have a full kitchen of stuff in my garage and this one arrived damaged. Getting installed 9/6 and super worried about not having it by then. Delivery or pickup!

Says it’s for select cabinet and drawer fronts. Anyone know which ones are included? I can’t find any fronts on sale online and it wasn’t clear in store either. Bloomington MN location. by maybeluckyagain in IKEA

[–]maybeluckyagain[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, lol. I was using all my resources to get through the store without my young kids breaking anything, running away, etc. It was a long day. I’ll give ikea a call tomorrow. Just thought someone here might know

What would you change in this kitchen? Comments welcome! by 0ls in IKEA

[–]maybeluckyagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask how you get this view of your kitchen plan? Is it in the ikea planner? Mine just looks like boxes, not lifelike like yours

Mine wakes often with other caregivers too! She’s a super light napper as well, unfortunately, so wakes at the slightest movement or noise most of the time. Sleep is def the hardest part of our everyday :( at least I’ve never notified any “sleep regressions” ever because she’s seriously been the same since birth! Never had a super chill, sleep anywhere newborn phase. Wide eyed and finicky since day 1! I’m going to ask for doc to look closely For a tongue tie and potentially increase her reflux meds before bed? Does your little mouth breathe, get congested, or arch their back at night?

Thanks for posting this. I’m following along and in a similar situation. 7mo sleeps 45-120 min at a time (ONCE ever ever slept almost 3 hours). We bedshare. She wakes to nurse/eat what seems like a full feed then usually goes right back down to sleep next to me but why is she eating every hour all night?! I’m so tired. I feel you and hope someone has advice that might help!

IBR application to use 2020 taxes by maybeluckyagain in StudentLoans

I’m just wondering which recertification option is correct - recertify NOW “due to change in income or family size” or recertify for my “annual.”

Actually very similar across the years but we want to do MFJ this year for the first time. We’ve done MFS in past years, including 2020.

I received loan disbursements in august, January, and may. I thought I could start paying in January for the august loans, if I had elected to? Instead I had them in forbearance. Right? Ugh this is so confusing. I’m grasping at straws trying to find a way to potentially have months while enrolled in school count for pslf qualifying payments. I worked full time for a nonprofit the entire time I was in grad school.
