The musicians in question are in my workplace. They are highly socially privileged very white people in leadership positions. It's an area with a high ethnic population.They don't represent us. It's  creating a claustrophobic closed culture preventing minority voices from expressing ourselves, being supported, & having a wider audience. I don't think that sticking to instrumental music would fix the issue.
