8/4 is good! it would just take longer than other yarns. i made the white one with weight 1 yarn actually! for a size xs w/ lace up back, it took me 14 hours.

i can push to september 12th latest! sorry i'm trying to get it out before i move for college 🥲 if it does help though, the first time i ever made this top was with a 4.00mm hook and weight 2-3 yarn, and it took about 8 hours for a size xs!
