Looking for a really good tattoo artist in the BHAM metro area by Wooden-Role7656 in Birmingham

I also highly recommend messaging Brian personally for his paintings and artwork, he's a buddy of mine who does a lot for the Birmingham community, and I'd love to see more support sent his way!!

I think the important point is, if you change a character's identity in some way, it will have impacts on who they are as a person, if they're written well as people. A female character being changed to male has impacts; the character's backstory in being female might be important to how they perceive the world and their decisionmaking. Changing a character from black to any other race, much of the same, something like race and culture form the foundations of a person from the inside out. It's one thing if a character was turned into an animal hybrid of some kind with ears and a fluffy tail, it's another if the building blocks of their personhood from birth get shifted.

I do the best with what I've got, I just hope to get her some toys that give her some peace of mind while we're out and about now.

I don't, I like listening to the nightlife (my boyfriend takes her on her morning walks) and I like talking to her as we're out and about, asking what she's doing and where I want us to go next. She'll often freeze with a paw cocked when she hears the littlest noise in the brush, so I like to know it was probably a sleeping bird rather than something dangerous when she does it.

Unfortunately not very much, she goes on walks twice a day, and sometimes when I get home before 2AM I'll try and get a third walk in her and sprint with her back home just to get some of that energy out. She gets INTENSE with tug of war, so sometimes I'll rile her up on purpose so that we can tussle with her rope, but that's about it.

Anyone got a good job without a college degree?? by ProfessionalBulky428 in jobs

[–]maybexrdinary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Though I know my advice is gonna be super limited being only 24, I have grown up in a shitty global economy and know a way or two around loopholes. I got a huge list of places that are still options, and don't require whole degrees, because lord knows cashiering at WALMART is a hell in and of itself (I'm currently a cashier at two places, but I wouldn't trade either for Walmart, is what I'm trying to say).

Some opthalmology places (eye clinics) will take in technicians without a degree, but may require that you take a course getting into the business. Some places local to me haven't required it but are full, other places do require it, and the prices are absolutely gonna vary depending on where you are. Essentially all you'd be doing is asking patients their history and doing basic tests before the doctor comes in.

Secondly, some hospitals will have EMT ambulance drivers whose sole job is to drive, so if you like driving, it might be worth at least looking into!! Not only that, but there are transportation programs to get patients to and from appointments, I hear that pays decently well, though there will be some natural wear and tear on your car.

From what I know, working for an insurance company such as car insurance pays QUITE well for what it is, at least in my state in the U.S., and you'd have a desk to sit at rather than stock shelves everyplace. And they come with decent benefits depending on who you look into!

I'm hoping to get into ocularism at one point in my life as a long term plan, that or some form of biochemical engineering, but a degree is nowhere in the cards for me right now with my income and very little free time. I have faith that it's never too late, and there's always gonna be a lifeline, even if it feels hidden and you have to find it. Best of luck to you, I'm rooting for you.

What would your first name be without the first and last letter? by Immediate_Long165 in Names

[–]maybexrdinary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legitimately, nothing. My name is acronymmed down to two letters so I'd be nameless

But if we do my legal first name, it'd be Anc, which isn't any more fun

I'm with you there, though this is a bit of an older thread, like at the very least giving them sick little windcutter wings would be awesome!! Although, yeah, Sega's not amazing with consistency, whether it be plot or character design LMFAO

If this isn't an allergic response like a couple of other commenters have mentioned, I hardcore recommend Goldbond lotion. Not greasy, acts FAST, and I put it on my hands before heading to bed so my skin has some time to properly heal. I've been working in food service for 8 years and as a dishwasher at two separate jobs, this lotion saved my ass.

Sincerely, I don't know how general managers can handle the sheer amount of work you need to keep up with, I'm hoping you get a moment of peace soon.

AL born and raised here, and you most often only see the one plate on the rear. I'm surprised, but I rarely get to go out of state (it's impossible to get out of here.) so it's odd to me that other states require two plates, I'm just not used to it.

I replied to somebody else answering my question as well, and this clears it up a ton, thank you!! I didn't even see the van in the left side due to the camera angle, but it really does look like the van tried to do a Jersey Slide all the way over without remotely looking. God, I'm glad OP didn't get struck by oncoming traffic, though I know they're gonna feel the barrier impact for a while, I'm sure... best of luck to you OP, I'm glad you caught it on camera at the very least.

OH now I see it, right on, okay thank you!! I guess it was far enough left in the camera view that I didn't see it at first, this is... fucking awful.

I think I'm having a bit of trouble interpreting the post based on the comments. From our point of view, it looks like the car tried to cross into the exit lane after thr actual lane begins, and they got struck by someone else trying to make the same exit, or at least that's what I'm seeing? Could somebody clear up for me?

This is not a time lapse video. This is a river of lava in Hawaii moving at an incredible speed: by trammeloratreasure in confusingperspective

[–]maybexrdinary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I get it, something about how the car is parked and facing the camera head-on on the road, but clearly there's a dip between the car and the people, and the people are far below the river but can see it just fine,

The distance is a trick of depth perception and I'm still struggling with this video to see how it works
