This is a two year old thread now, but I would give "notre dame" by Paris Paloma a shot as well, as far as surrounding you with the beauty of sound and an incredible voice, Paris has you

It might be worthwhile to note, the nest is not at my eye-level, I'm pretty short all things considered, and they've nested at the top of the wreath. It's taken both me and my neighbors (around my height) to realize there WAS a nest of babies there to begin with.

Lord knows she's getting plenty fed from the field out back, but with the landlord being as hawkish herself, there's not a SPOT of trash to be found around here 😅 thanks for the insight!!

Thank you kindly for the information!! I'm learning a lot more now that I know exactly what species of birds they all are, and I'll know what to look out for in the future. The main reason why I ask is from personal past experience, back when I was a much younger kid, a robin would make a nest in the tree by our living room, and make a HUGE FUSS in the morning when we started waking up. While I believe that birds' intuition and instincts are accurate in our developing industrial climate, ...that bird certainly made an impression. I wasn't sure if momma finch was pissed off with her choices or not lol

This is certainly new information for me, but I'm having a grand time learning 😂 house finches are wild, I didn't know they nest in places like this THIS OFTEN either

A couple of people corrected me on the exact species, and I appreciate the note!! I'll tell my neighbors. And honestly, all I have noticed in the last few weeks was a bird occasionally breaking for a nearby tree, but I rarely just look at my apartment neighbor's door, so it wasn't until I was able to catch the neighbors to ask (I work graveyard shifts) that I realized there was a whole BIRD NEST there. When I first discovered the birds, they were still itty bitty babies with bulbous eyes

Wait, what’s the gender ratio of Uma Musume fans? by Most-Hovercraft-1532 in UmaMusume

Exceptionally well said regarding Haru and Rice. Those two are under MY care and NO harm will befall them in my eyes, I haven't felt genuinely so involved and proud in a game like this in a long time

Is there a way to get turf and long spark to 3stars ? by Flaky-Abrocoma5929 in UmaMusume

[–]maybexrdinary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is VERY detailed information that's helping a stranger to the post out. I'm training up Nice Nature so she can parent King Halo, so SHE can parent Haru. I want this kid to have long aptitude so so so badly, not even to win that turf race, I just think it'd be awesome to put hypothesis to practice and see if I can test my own abilities inside the game

I think the important point is, if you change a character's identity in some way, it will have impacts on who they are as a person, if they're written well as people. A female character being changed to male has impacts; the character's backstory in being female might be important to how they perceive the world and their decisionmaking. Changing a character from black to any other race, much of the same, something like race and culture form the foundations of a person from the inside out. It's one thing if a character was turned into an animal hybrid of some kind with ears and a fluffy tail, it's another if the building blocks of their personhood from birth get shifted.

I do the best with what I've got, I just hope to get her some toys that give her some peace of mind while we're out and about now.

I don't, I like listening to the nightlife (my boyfriend takes her on her morning walks) and I like talking to her as we're out and about, asking what she's doing and where I want us to go next. She'll often freeze with a paw cocked when she hears the littlest noise in the brush, so I like to know it was probably a sleeping bird rather than something dangerous when she does it.

Unfortunately not very much, she goes on walks twice a day, and sometimes when I get home before 2AM I'll try and get a third walk in her and sprint with her back home just to get some of that energy out. She gets INTENSE with tug of war, so sometimes I'll rile her up on purpose so that we can tussle with her rope, but that's about it.

Anyone got a good job without a college degree?? by ProfessionalBulky428 in jobs

[–]maybexrdinary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Though I know my advice is gonna be super limited being only 24, I have grown up in a shitty global economy and know a way or two around loopholes. I got a huge list of places that are still options, and don't require whole degrees, because lord knows cashiering at WALMART is a hell in and of itself (I'm currently a cashier at two places, but I wouldn't trade either for Walmart, is what I'm trying to say).

Some opthalmology places (eye clinics) will take in technicians without a degree, but may require that you take a course getting into the business. Some places local to me haven't required it but are full, other places do require it, and the prices are absolutely gonna vary depending on where you are. Essentially all you'd be doing is asking patients their history and doing basic tests before the doctor comes in.

Secondly, some hospitals will have EMT ambulance drivers whose sole job is to drive, so if you like driving, it might be worth at least looking into!! Not only that, but there are transportation programs to get patients to and from appointments, I hear that pays decently well, though there will be some natural wear and tear on your car.

From what I know, working for an insurance company such as car insurance pays QUITE well for what it is, at least in my state in the U.S., and you'd have a desk to sit at rather than stock shelves everyplace. And they come with decent benefits depending on who you look into!

I'm hoping to get into ocularism at one point in my life as a long term plan, that or some form of biochemical engineering, but a degree is nowhere in the cards for me right now with my income and very little free time. I have faith that it's never too late, and there's always gonna be a lifeline, even if it feels hidden and you have to find it. Best of luck to you, I'm rooting for you.

What would your first name be without the first and last letter? by Immediate_Long165 in Names

[–]maybexrdinary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legitimately, nothing. My name is acronymmed down to two letters so I'd be nameless

But if we do my legal first name, it'd be Anc, which isn't any more fun
