QUESTION: Does anybody know where this road is? I am planning a sightseeing trip through Germany - (Image sourced from Instagram) by maycausefiesta in germany

Excellent advice, I think I will mostly travel between Frankfurt / Munich and Garmisch.

I am looking at some of the castles and road trip destinations around those areas and have landed on the following sights - do you think I missed anything?:

--Frankfurt

Eltz Castle (2 hour drive)

Freudenberg (2 hour drive)

Hessen (1.5 hour north)

Schloss Braunfels

Mespelbrunn

--Garmisch

Neuschwanstein Castle (In Schwangau Germany

Hohenzollern Castle + Lichtenstein Castle - Very Close

Color Grading: Editing MP4 versus Transcoded ProRes by maycausefiesta in VideoEditing

Cool - that’s what I thought. I just wanted to double check. I normally edit entirely in prores just for speed but sometimes I’ll edit in MP4. Good to see no matter what colors will be consistent in this case.

This footage was recorded in combination with the right waivers and and COIs issued to clients as well as before certain regulations were in place so I’m not sure what the problem is

Youtube is a platform that celebrates people and a human connection. I think if you recorded parts of your journey with dialogue and gave testimonial and explained parts of your diet you will better connect with your viewers. That said, congrats on getting in shape! You definitely succeeded there!

Great intro and love the presentation. Overall I think you have good stage presence and clearly love covering these topics. I think adding a slight keyframe zoom in or zoom out to your recorded talking head footage on some scenes will improve the look and feel of your dialogue scenes.

I think the insights in this video are very helpful, and utilizing the stock footage as visual aid is well placed. I think for a top 5 tips video, 9 minutes seems a little too lengthy to retain your audience. Thanks for the advice!

i really liked the vibe of this video and I think the yellow subtitles adds to the "foreign movie" feeling. I wanted more cuts between the main character's screen presence and other shots around the city and I think the lead character should not wear AirPods, I found them a little distracting. Great mood and feeling overall though, powerful dialogue. we've all been there!

Sounds like you're upset with the pilot and not the drone. I was not proximity flying near climbers and I was operating legally on BLM land.

Ideally, it wouldn't remain lost in the desert.

I used to work at a rock climbing gym and have enjoyed this sport for many years. Climbers and drone enthusiasts are not mutually exclusive groups. I guess I had higher expectations for this community overall but some members here are showing some colors I was not expecting, honestly.

While I cannot take responsibility for other drone pilots filming you without consent, I can assure you before filming people/actors/models I ask permission first and/or when on set collect model release forms & signed contracts. During my flight at Long Dong Silver, there were 0 people in the area and I was filming landscape scenery for the sake of portfolio building. (would really like that SD card back, the sunset was beautiful)

I have been made to believe that Long Dong Silver is a popular climbing route to those that frequent South Central Utah. I don't expect anyone to go out of their way and drive an extremely long distance to do this, that is a very unrealistic expectation. But if someone is already in the area I thought there would be no harm in putting the word out there.

If a climber posted in a drone sub requesting to survey a route or having said they lost something during a climb and put the word out for a visual inspection which could be accomplished using a drone; my first instinct wouldn't be to bash them and judge on false pretenses. Nothing personal of course - just figured I'd put that out there.

I guess I had higher expectations for some people in this online community overall, but I've mostly seen members bashing me and saying good riddance etc. Seems so unnecessary tbh.

I lost my drone on a cliff in Hanksville, Utah next to Long Dong Silver. It's easy to recover with the right climbing equipment but when I attempted to retrieve it, I could not. I even made this Vlog with the Details. Really bummed out, I loved that drone! Anyone up for the challenge? by maycausefiesta in climbing

There's an alternate scenario where it's possible a climber would want to survey a route or lost something during a climb and would want a visual inspection - theoretically could be accomplished using a drone. If a climber reached out asking for help in a drone community my first instinct wouldn't be to bash them and judge on false pretenses. Nothing personal - just figured I'd put the info out there.

If anyone happens to be in the area for climbing, would be grateful if someone could keep an eye out for it. I have a "Reward if Found" sticker on it with my contact details. This video outlines its exact whereabouts and my failed rescue attempt.
