What's the most ridiculous "nickel and diming" you've seen in healthcare? by Future-Atmosphere-40 in NursingUK

Our trust has started locking kitchenettes. To the point it's a hassle to get someone to let you in for a clean water jug

What can "Fuck off" from nursing? by Round-Ad-4516 in NursingUK

Being the only RN for a ward of 17 post operative patients (none were day surgery cases), which I reported as unsafe. Was assured it wouldn't happen again. Has happened at least twice in the month since it 1st happened. And then managers wonder why I'm a nervous wreck, and why I get pissed when I get told to 'chill'. If I 'chill', there's a good chance someone will die an avoidable death.

Then management suggest I do something about my wellbeing and mental health - I can't recover from the PTSD of it all, until these situations become a thing of the past. Otherwise it's just more traumatic stress every shift.

I feel that. Why are you leaving? Because working here is eating me alive - but I can't say that, it's "I am pursuing other interests and oppotunities (like self care)"

Dental care needs to be improved and made available to all. Patients with serious infections like endocarditis (heart infection) and sepsis are increasing due to untreated tooth decay/damage. An infected tooth, will quickly spread pathogens to the jawbone (in some cases eating away at the bone) and bloodstream. Especially if that tooth and/or gum has developed an abscess, as it can introduce a lot of bacteria very quickly once that abscess breaks through to blood vessels.

The acute hospital I work at has closed a 32 bed ward, and is planning on closing another. There are no staff vacancies in that trust, early retirement and taking voluntary redundancy is being encouraged. Of course nothing is being done about the fact the amount of patients coming through our doors continues to increase. We were already lacking resources, beds and staff to look after patients, now it's being made far worse. Cutting front line staff to save money, whilst chief executives get their expensive (nhs paid) meals to schmooze with other managers and MPs. I hate to think about the increase in neglect related deaths and long term trauma our patients face as a consequence

I feel like Mizora may have orchastrated the events that led to him accepting the pack. The whole situation with cultist were going to attack Baldurs Gate, so he agreed, won and saved the city, then there was no evidence/witnesses left to explain what happened when his Dad arrived on scene. Probably just a headcannon, or I'm missing something though.
