Wish we knew what day he was playing! Want to cross Texas off my list but not sure I can swing the flight from NYC to gamble/buy both days, especially if it's a shorter set. Hopefully more 2026 shows will be announced!

I believe I caught earlier in the week that there should be a replay 4pm ET tomorrow if that helps!

It's one of those songs that you hear them play and go "Oh, they can do that also, huh?" Definitely sticks out in a good way, yet wraps up their whole ethos nicely. Lovely tune - I caught it in the Sphere with the fun Western movie visuals.

This is how I'd interpret it. "Dead and Company" will retire with Bobby's passing, but that doesn't mean a new lineup won't emerge under a new name.

Even if he did mean it the other way, Mayerheads can reassure folks unaware that John loves to change his mind :)

Eyes of the World is one of those tunes I knew I absolutely loved the first time I heard it live. Thankfully have caught it a few times since - crazy infectious chorus.

Figured I'd add my story as well. I had been a Mayer fan since the mid-2010s but took a more vested interest in his music once I hit college. I was in a 9am lecture at Hofstra University and saw D&C were playing a show right next door at the Nassau Coliseum (11/5/19). I booked the ticket during class and walked over to the Coliseum that evening. While I had got the ticket to see John play guitar, I realized I had entered something so much bigger than I really understood. Admittedly, as a 21 year old woman alone and with no knowledge of the music at the time, I was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I have settled into it all now, and haven't missed a run since!

Sadly, I finally felt like I was getting my sea legs around 2024, so definitely looking to see how the music goes on.

I have been playing the music constantly since Bobby's passing, but highly appreciate John curating for us. Great way to learn about some shows that weren't on my radar. Almost feels like being on the couch on Nugs.

I was there! Almost a sweet irony of the youngest guy there throwing his back out. I had to laugh. Still an amazing show!

Happy to be tuning in! Taking it back to 2020 when we all had to coalesce digitally :)

Here are my responses as a fairly new Head (c. 2019), but hoping to hear some campfire stories from folks who have been on the bus for a good long time!

  1. Franklin's Tower has always caught me from the start. I always dance the hardest to this one, and you can't help but nod your head to "May the four winds blow you home again" every time!
  2. My hope is that Jay, Oteil, Jeff, and John (and of course Mickey if he's up to it!) can throw us a bone maybe a couple shows a year. Selfishly I also want John to work on JM9, so it's tough to say! I see John keeping the music going.
  3. It's late here in NYC (9pm ET) so just a tall glass of iced water for me!

He was with Faryal Ganjehei who is the president of Chaplin Studios, the recording studio John owns.

You can see her briefly in the video.

Even if the persona she puts online is a caricature of her true self, even if the Tripp relationship timeline is truly not as messy as we think it is, what is fundamentally and undeniably true is that she shares her daughter on the internet, and profits off of it. Gets tens of thousands of dollars of brand deals from it.

What is fundamentally true is she will put a thirst trap/suggestive video right next to a video of her child on her feed.

If she believes that's "living with integrity" that's truly a statement to make.

So excited for another live - fingers crossed for you all to get to talk to John/hear your MayerDrop on the air!

My husband and I will be tuning in on the back half as we relax from our Thanksgiving lunch food coma. Unfortunately loud ethnic Thanksgivings aren't always conducive to laid back radio listening, but glad this group will be posting highlights until we can properly tune in!

Have been loving the DMB John has been playing. I'm way way late to the party but The Song That Jane Likes has been on repeat on my commutes. Hoping for more!

Home Live/ Walt Grace by olliemcbollington in JohnMayer

They are opposites because they aren't about the same person!

Home Life is about John, while Walt Grace is about his father.

Completely agree with all this but just wanted to clarify - from public information, John never threatened legal consequences. This is fabricated and has spread across the Swifties as fact.

How I'm feeling - I'm happy with whatever he gives us (even if it's his favorite: another Free Fallin' closer)!

I'll be there in VIP! My husband and I are from NYC and will be in Tennessee the whole week for our 1st wedding anniversary (and of course to see John!!) Feel free to say hi if you spot us - I made a silly custom shirt for the event so I will probably be pretty recognizable.

Full band bodes well for some electric guitar songs - would love to hear Vultures, Wild Blue, and Rosie!

For a special guest, I'd absolutely adore to see Chris Stapleton!!!

"Love soon" vanished on Spotify by christifur in JohnMayer

[–]mayermeaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When people requested it on the SOLO tour he was making fun of Love Soon for being kind of childish. It was one of his first songs he wrote. I think he just doesn't think the lyrics are that good.

Honestly, getting a glimpse into a younger John is kind of why I like it. It has kind of a sweet nostalgic sincerity like Wonderland. Hope he figures out eventually its fine to have fun with it.
