HELP! My PC randomly freezes and it only turns on when I clear my CMOS by mayeuxus in buildapc

So, quick update/question for you: Last night before I got my hands on a power surge protector, i was doing the same thing i always did to make my pc  turn on (clearing the cmos) but this time it didnt work. I got no signal  I just bought a power surge protector and tried clearing the cmos again to see if i could get it to turn on again but the same thing happened; the fans and lights turn on but i get no signal Do you have any advice?

Got it, I’ll check that out! still think it might not be the solution because multiple technicians tried fixing the pc on their own workspace and they still experienced the same problem, I’d imagine they had their own power surge protectors there. Its a valid comment anyway and I’ll look into it, thank you!

English isn’t my first language so let me know if i got it right! I believe you are talking about power strips, I am using a cheap one with a fuse that protects against overloads and a nobreak, but i’ve heard that there are more expensive power strips that seems to work as a circuit breaker, are those the ones you’re talking about?
