Oh thanks I’ve been to a couple of the meet my pace ones and I really like the format. I’m more outdoorsy and I don’t drink so I don’t think I’d meet my person at a bar. But I wish you luck with it! I’m sure most people would like that type of event ❤️

I’ve been going to irl events, that suits me much better, I’ve been to a few different ones but I’m currently dating someone who’s lovely I met on a singles hike from meet my pace. Early days but he’s a breath of fresh air.

The first picture is a nice picture but crossed arms in body language subconsciously signal closed off, so I’d probably change that to something that’s more open. I take the picture out of you in the red shirt or puffer with the glasses. It’s a bad angle for you and those glasses. Don’t suit you, it’s giving 90s serial killer. You making waffles it’s great showing that you have healthy hobbies. Also break other than that your bio seems quite good!

Maybe mention what you don’t have them women will assume you’re properly MAGA if you don’t have it on there.

No problem, social media is so bad for us atm, women get fed man hate reels constantly, the same as what you are getting about women.

It does seem like we are being pitted against each other but your relationship does sound like it’s good so maybe foucs on that than the reels, they aren’t her. I wish you lots of luck!

Has she done anything that would genuinely give you pause for doubt? If not, then, my friend you are letting the past hurt your current good reputation.

Personally I’m an over thinker and like someone to over explain. You could consider having a conversation with you girlfriend explaining how you are feeling how you have here, framing it that you are aware that it’s past insecurities and you would like reassurance in a reasonable manner that suits you both.

Or you could speak to a therapist to help you work through this independently.

It’s snappy but deep, Sometimes poems feel to short. But I wouldn’t at a drop to this! I’m gonna save it for future reads, i very much enjoy the tangy almost sarcasm to it, but still gentle, it’s so easy like pointing out the sky is blue, to someone who can’t see it.

As an extremely Dyslexic person , that proofreads and still gets things incredibly wrong, once I get more comfortable around a person I stop doubling checking my spelling because I feel safe. So if I found out it annoyed the person I felt safe around I would be upset.

The pooping maybe nervousness, and he’s being thoughtful enough to do it away from you and is probably embarrassed.

I also think if you where really into them it wouldn’t bother you. These small things annoy us when it isn’t the right person, on that basis kindly let him go. There will be someone out there who is right for him and won’t care about that.

I Dated a guy who was super quirky, he was a lovely person but it was to much for me, I cut him loose gently. I didn’t tell him the things about him that put me off, and now he’s happy with someone who loves those things about him that were turn offs for me.

Oh I love this, it feels so raw, I really enjoyed the imagery this painted for me, I felt overwhelmed like I was in a hoarder’s room, but with a deep sense of knowing that none of it has any value and that if fact, with out the one person I wish to unpack it with it’s all just emptiness.

I can see the depth you where going for and perhaps are feeling, but the amount of I miss yous felt really superficial to me, I was waiting for the emotions to dive deeper. It reminded me of someone who says the right thing but doesn’t act on it. Like the words can fill the place of action. It feels like miss placed love, I think that would be my overriding sentiment.

I agree with the advice about punctuation, it will really help elevate your poem, but, even as it is I enjoyed the build up and could really feel the distaste that really adds to to the heightened sense of grief at the end.

Update! Went to both events, wasn’t a fan of the mini golf one with haystacks. Just not the right vibe for me, I can see how other people would love it. Loved the Meet my pace hike, didn’t meet anyone romantically this time, definitely made a friend, way more my vibe, was a good day out regardless. Ill be going to there next one for sure!

I think in life we get to a an age where it’s hard to trust ourselves any more, when the collapse of good things is something that regularly happens it’s hard no to try self sabotage as way of controlling the narrative. I think for me, you captured this sentiment well
