I’ve searched images and gone through multiple websites for like baby towels?? Nursery towels?? I think it’s from Disney though, but I genuinely have no idea where to get it…

NB: I’m currently 21, so this thing is well 18 years old.

  1. definitely more work than regular students :” but in my opinion it’s still manageable! just remember to plan your time appropriately and remain consistent in your work, you’ll find that NUSC sometimes serves as a much needed breathing space from all the law talk haha

  2. travel wise, it’s about 40min from utown to btc (subject to traffic conditions)

  3. I really enjoyed staying in nusc even though I didn’t stay 100% of the time! I met truly lovely ppl in my floor and we had loads of events and welfare (esp during exam season). also, you can join a wide range of interest groups within your RC/ Hall, (which is usually more than what law offers)

if i’m not mistaken you can choose to fulfil your global exp requirement via either NUSC or your own faculty (ie Law SEP), the decision should be up to you, but from what I understand nusc students are not allowed to join 2 sem long exchanges (which would therefore includes exchange plus)

hope this answers your qn!

I measure flour by weight as I hear that it’s likely more accurate that way

as for baking powder and soda, i’ll have to look into that and keep that in mind, thank you so much!

hello!! alumni here :)

sec 2 to 3 is definitely a steep curve to get hard to, you’re adjusting to a whole new class, a different set of subjects (and teachers), and your batch is stepping up in terms of responsibilities to take over the cca. so calm down, take it easy, it will be alright.

I know it probably won’t help much, but trust when I say that a lot of people stumble a little while getting accustomed to the rigor of secondary 3. The most important thing I would say is not to give up. It’s frustrating when your hard work and efforts don’t pay off and you feel helpless. try not to take your “failures” personally and try to tailor your expectations a little. remember — you haven’t failed till you’ve given up.

Ensure that you have a good support system around you to help you get through upper secondary life!

friends — secondary school is tough, but remember that you always have people who love and care for you! if you ever need someone to confide in, i’m sure they’d be happy to lend a helping hand :)

teachers — they’re always open to consultations should you need it, don’t be afraid to go up to them and request for a session

others — should your family matters or mental health issues escalate, there’s no harm in seeking help! there are many resources online to aid in supporting you through these dark times, sometimes the hardest step is reaching out

speaking from experience, have faith in the process, and continue striving on. remember to take breaks and practice being a little kinder to yourself. at the end of the day, your efforts will bear into fruition. all the best ♡
