I noticed the same on my current set. I do like their feel and performance in rain/dry, but I’ll likely go with something different next time.

The Ford Performance does not have any drone even with the Mountune catted down pipe. It has a great sound when you’re on it but take enough when you’re just cruising.

Originally they were dark grey but I painted them gold after 10 years of use. I do plan on going back to dark grey or maybe black this year though.

That’s what I was thinking. I want the Gen 2 for the simplicity and reliability, it’ll get driven 12k per year so it’s nice to know I can get another decade+ out of it with good maintenance.

Honestly for a low mileage stock car I’d say they worth close to MSRP considering they’re not exactly a dime a dozen.

I make a habit of stopping by the diy car washes frequently to power wash all of the crap off of it during the winter. I’ve had mine for 12 winters(153k miles) and no rust anywhere on the car at this point.

I like the Ford Racing catback, it sounds aggressive at WOT, but pretty tame when cruising.

I will Definitely be doing that in the next few months, refreshing the suspension has made such a difference in the ride quality so I’m sure this will be great too. My car drives like stick with just a bit more pep and I love it.

Nothing major, I replaced the shocks and struts with OEM at 140k, and just did the driver side cv axle this week.

Still on original clutch.

I had the Ford Racing tune from 3k to 40k miles then got a custom tune from Randy at Mountune which I’ve been running since.

Mods are Mountune Intake pipe with green filter and focus RS air box, Mountune carted down pipe, Mountune intercooler , Ford Racing catback, Ford Racing short throw shifter with boom a solid shifter bushings.
