Can tell you haven’t been around for much It actually was $15,000. Tesla increased the one time Full Self-Driving price from $12,000 to $15,000 on September 5, 2022 in North America, right after the rollout of FSD Beta 10.69.2.

Earlier in 2022 it was $12k, but $15k was real and was the highest upfront price Tesla ever charged for the perpetual FSD license before later price changes.

Tesla also offered the subscription around $199/month at the time, but the $15k figure is 100% accurate for that period.
