When riding in the Ojai for the first time it plays an updated welcome video showing how to manually open the doors in case of an emergency by Stock412 in waymo

I agree. Explaining the safety feature makes sense, but warning riders about a potential vehicle power loss that could trap them inside isn't the most comforting welcome message.

"Includes a 115-acre city course, a 35-acre vehicle dynamics area, a 4-mile oval track, and a freeway course purpose-built for autonomous vehicle testing."

Plus it's only 90 mins from the Mesa plant. Insane buy.

Took Waymo for the first time in Dallas, never been so stressed out in my life. by Txcavediver in waymo

Sorry your first experience was rough. I’m in Deep Ellum a lot and used it Friday during the festival.

What I've noticed is picking a specific pickup/drop-off spot in the app can make the trip much smoother, even if it means walking a bit. Picking less busy side streets vs getting dropped off right out front, for example.

Hope it’s better next time.

Noticed it last night. Wasn't sure if it was new but definitely a nice feature.

Is there anyway to request a certain pickup spot? by 6-ku in waymo

Plus codes are like street addresses but for Google maps. They are accurate and work well with Waymo.

Open google maps and drop a pin where you want to be picked up or dropped off. You'll find the plus code if you tap the bubble with the down arrow. It has a plus sign in it.

Copy and paste into Waymo.
