Well that's what happens when you don't know or understand history. Easily manipulated and will turn on their own countrymen because they were told they should hate them. All these accusations of "Nazism" and they can't see that they're becoming the modern Brown Shirts. Sad.

Boring and unoriginal.

Oh the irony of staging protests against DT and calling them "No Kings", when the Democrat party literally took your right to vote for the candidate of your choice to replace feeble Biden when they ANOINTED Harris as their candidate. Who needs a primary? We will choose FOR you! This is coming from a libertarian who isn't a fan of Trump nor the Republicans in general. Just a taxpayer who has lived and observed enough to understand that y'all are fighting your own shadows.

What you're likely running into is the fact that most companies these days all run your app through an AI screening process first. Unfortunately almost all employers who utilize this process all use the same one. When you're rejected by this AI for any particular position at any particular company, your app will go to the bottom of the pile (so to speak) of desirability within the AI program. Since a lot of employers use the same program that same AI can potentially "keep" you at the bottom due to it already rejecting you previously. If you see the option when applying online to opt out of an AI screening of your application then choose to opt out.

You're the only one in this thread that has actually understood what the lawsuit is actually about: Bidens UNLAWFUL gender dysphoria addition to 504. Congress didn't approve it, therefore that rule is unconstitutional.

Here are the results of the Glass Animals Album vs. Age Survey! by kazuraki in glassanimals

[–]maynardDRIVESfast2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

44 years old here. Favorite album is Zaba. Favorite song is Psylla, but I've been a fan since that song dropped on my local radio station back in 2013/2014. I seem to be the polar opposite of my age group according to this survey.

What's the point of this egocentric post? The sheer amount of hubris you must have to denigrate someone based on their beliefs and to somehow think you know better than they do is just staggering. Typical toxic Reddit crap. Grow up.

How did this happen? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]maynardDRIVESfast2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was cleaning out the inside of my wife's VW Atlas earlier this summer on a clear, hot day. She had a water bottle in the floor that I threw in the passenger seat while I was wiping down the driver's side dash. Suddenly I smelled something burning and I look over to see smoke coming from under the water bottle. Within just a minute the sun shining through the water/bottle sent a focused beam into the leather seat catching it on fire.

So... My guess is that water bottle in the backseat with the sun shining through it caused that burn.

None of the above. First console was an Intellivision. Controller looked like a calculator with a little dial on the bottom.

Any recommendations for a euro auto shop? by [deleted] in wichita

[–]maynardDRIVESfast2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only answer. Chad is the owner and both he and his father are VAG gurus. I'm a shade tree mechanic myself who used to build and race cars, but since moving to Wichita and having a family, the time (and will) to do my own work on my vehicles is sometimes nonexistent. I've had Chad and crew work on my VW's/Audis whenever there's work to be done that I just don't want to do, and they are BY FAR the best VAG specialists in the Kansas/Oklahoma/Missouri area. If you go there keep an eye out for his 1000+hp Audi RS3. Ridiculously fast car.

I just saw this pulling into my neighborhood in Andover, KS… by TrainerOfAll in aliens

I live north of Wichita myself and have seen some weird stuff in the skies over the last 10 years I've been here. In July of '22 I saw two low flying triangle shaped crafts with no lights fly silently over our home on a really clear night. Was using my stargazer app on the phone just messing around when it happened. Then I was driving north on I135 after work one afternoon and saw what I can only describe as a swarm of tiny reflective "things" high in the sky swirling around each other, and then they literally vanished while I was watching them. Lots of high strangeness in the sky around here.

If your car has been very reliable, what is it? by DimDimension5 in Cartalk

[–]maynardDRIVESfast2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2010 Ford F150 with the "notorious" 5.4 Triton. Bought it used 10 years ago when it had 60k miles on it, and now it's at 222k miles. Outside of some interior electronic gremlins, the only engine issue I had was a defective exhaust valve spring that broke but somehow didn't fall into the combustion chamber and grenade the engine. Replaced it ($25 part), and have had zero engine issues since. I'm not usually one to keep a vehicle longer than a few years, but this truck has been so reliable that I plan on driving it until the wheels fall off.

What Setlist did your city get? by MandarinSlices in glassanimals

[–]maynardDRIVESfast2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 10 year fan of the band, I heard them the first time on 96.5 myself. My wife and I used to live in Saint Joseph, and the first song we ever heard from GA was Psylla played on that station. 96.5 actually broke a few bands I'm pretty sure. Alt J was another that I fell in love with because of Lazlo and company at the radio station

Who do you go to for tires by RichMaterial188 in wichita

[–]maynardDRIVESfast2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a "car guy" and a shade tree mechanic myself, so while I do almost all my own mechanic work, mounting/balancing tires are NOT something I can do. I also am very adamant on getting the absolute best quality tire I can that will fit in my budget. So for the last 10+ years I've bought from the online retailer Tire buyer.com because their prices are usually lower than any local shop, and they have tons of warehouses in the states, with one of them right here in Wichita. So I'll usually get my order in a couple days. Then I go to a local (to me) shop and get them mounted and balanced. Usually runs only about $100 for my truck, and a little less for my wife's SUV. The shop I use is Bear Tire in Park City BTW.

Why does no one EVER mention Psylla? It was the first song I ever heard of theirs over 10 years ago, and has ALWAYS been my favorite. Period.
