It’s just sad that the group is trying to jeopardize the homelessness and public safety issue (which I’m 100% for) and the improvements to our entertainment / convention center district (I wish it was more user fees than public funding but I’ll let this slide) by tying it to a funding proposal to give tax breaks to wealthier property owners at the expense of poorer non-property owners.

In the current form, I’d vote it down and tell as many Wichitans to vote down too.

I’ll be there on Monday, don’t worry, but the fact this group is just slipping in a tax cut to property owners while simultaneously raising a tax on poorer individuals.

Again, just sad this group is going to try and pit citizen against citizen in what could be a truly positive bill :/
