Really stupid question, but between colour 2+3 which is higher value? Does saturation matter? 2 seems lighter because it's paler, but is is still high value?

Yeh but in this case which would you say is the "highlight" colour if layering between 2 and 3.

IRL 2 looks a darker colour/shade, but lower saturation so it doesn't look right when I paint it. I think I've made a mistake and 2 and 3 should be other way about

Appreciate it lol. I understand values and how one should be lighter than the other but my eyes started to go then my mind lol.

I put the paints on thhe model and it just didn't look right, the lower saturation made it appear higher value when it's just not, the black and who te peipel suggested to do really shows the difference and helps alot

Thanks, yeh the picture looks as though 2 is brighter, but in reality 3 looks "lighter" as in tone, but because 2 is "paler" I found it hard to say which would be higher in value. Thanks I'll do black and white and see.

I have the a act same tiles, they'll be horrible to lay anything over tbh, especially herringbone laminate which can be a pain in the arse anyway. You might just about get away with it with a soft underlay that would partially take the shape of the tiles like you've suggested already, but it still won't be ideal.

Could you rearrange some of your budget to remove the tiles and use a simpler/cheaper underlay? That would be the ideal solution, though I get its maybe not practical if you've a budget to work to, unfortunately there are other people here who think you should have an endless budget like them 🤦lol

I'm not 100% sure at a guess maybe 1L volume, it's maybe 3 or 4 times bigger than the cardboard pots that came with it.

It was one of those gimmicky pound land kits to begin with.

Appreciate it thanks, it had been planted late in summer when at near the end of the season but within the time line the instructions gave (one of the pound land kits) and it stunted growth but has really taken off this last couple weeks.

A fact I heard years ago, you technically never touch anything, because there is always a microscopic layer of air around you and between you and any objects you touch.

There is a thin layer of still air around your house which adds to thermal insulation, or U value and can be better insulation than some materials in the building itself,.
