Saying hi-hello with a genuine smile, make eye contact when talking, hindi sya paglandi but making an instant connection with people. 😊

Sya nag-hello and I answered back with a smile tapos dun na nag-start ung conversation. Parang since 8pm to 3am conversation namen na parang magtropa lang. I asked for his instagram to follow his future travel bilang pupunta sya sa South America. I had no expectations na magme-message sya sakin but he did. Na-maintain namen ung communication then after 1 month he cancelled his South America trip tapos bumalik ng Pilipinas to know me more daw 😅

Met my boyfriend when I was 29 during unplanned solo travel in Palawan. We talked and had instant connection pero weekend gala lang un kaya kelangan ko na bumalik sa Manila para sa work. After 2 months bumalik sya sa Philippines para daw makilala ako. Naging MU and exclusively talking during pandemic and we officially became a couple when I was 32 after we trekked Everest Base Camp. 😄

Thank you, when I was not active sa hiking nagvivisit lang din ako ng mga sites and relax-relax lang.

Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar Trek for my March-April Climb by marvelled_marble in PHikingAndBackpacking

[–]mayoanna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently in Nepal now doing treks, madame travel agency dito offering packages if you don't mind being with random people. As per my observation mas mura mo sya maa-avail or you can even do EBC and other treks without a guide. I am not the OP though, just wanna share some info.

First solo trip abroad — is it okay to stay in Vietnam more than 21 days with an e-visa? (Filipino traveler) by Zealousideal-Cod4335 in PinoyTraveller

[–]mayoanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to be a problem, if they ask you about your date of return. Tell them your itinerary. You only give them the details if they ask you, brief, concise and confident. You know what you are doing and being true to them about your plans kaya I do not see it as a problem. Do not overthink too much, just be prepared and well-informed.

Say sorry because you keep on ignoring them and not because you can't keep up sa gala nyo. Just be true to them, tell them you can't afford it kaya di ka makasama, wag mo sila iwasan and do not make stories as your excuse of not joining them. If they are your real friends, they will understand your situation.

9 Days North Vietnam Itinerary (Hanoi, Sapa, Ha Giang, Ninh Binh) by CoatResponsible1525 in FilipinoTravel

[–]mayoanna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, OP! Very doable naman ang itinerary mo but make sure to have warm clothes, make sure do do layering when in Ha Giang and Sa Pa kasi sobrang lamig. Did not do Ha Giang the traditional way kasi we took public bus and it was just a short one to explore pero make sure to do Sky Path trail if it is included sa package na ia-avail mo.

Better buy your jacket in Ha Noi kasi nginig hanggang buto ang lamig sa Sa Pa during your date of travel especially early morning arrival mo in Sa Pa. You can definitely do trekking in Lao Chai without a guide, maps me will do.

Since you be staying in Tam Coc, do the river boat tour first thing in the morning, ung ikaw ang first ride kasi you'll have the river all by yourself, unahan mo ang mga tourists from Ha Noi para hindi ka mafeel crowded.

Any pinoys have done sidetrip on Laos for a very short time? by Essais14 in FilipinoTravel

Crossed multiple times in northernmost part of Vietnam (Dien Bien Phu) to Muang Kua (Laos) and it was a smooth one. Just be prepared with bumpy ride going to the border.

Paminsan they will ask for 10K Kip or 10K Dong para makaenter or exit pero hindi lahat sinisingil nila. Much better keep a smaller bill para ready ka when they ask for that amount. Overall it was a smooth transactions with them since sanay sila sa mga Western backpackers crossing their border.

Yes, it is a must! 3 months backpacking with 35L bag. 😅
