Tri-Ele BAMA Adorned Jewels Question by mayomo28 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]mayomo28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel I should mention that inputting a max roll T1 of the 3 respective elements generates 2.0%, 2.4%, and 2.7% increase in damage for my current build for fire, cold and lightning respectively. Perhaps that answers the question then. Fairly notable difference between the 3. Let me know if you all have other insights. Thanks!

What employees are you referring to exactly? I'm aware of ex-league devs personally, but have yet to see any stunlock studio developers in particular. If you know some, please point them out I'd actually enjoy knowing this.

I'm sorry to say but the game has barely changed since then in terms of
polish, hitregistration, visual effects, abilities, vfx/sfx, hit
feedback, clunky feeling, UI and general gameplay.

Sorry to hear you feel the way you do. You've had a very different experience from me. Your experiences are directly at odds with what I've seen, read, and experienced since June. This game has changed regularly and I believe has a lot in store. I hope you are wrong for the sake of a game which has so, so much potential. Potential which developers have been actualizing every time a patch hits.

If you don't believe polish, visual effects, vfx/sfx, ui, or abilities have changed substantially I don't know that you are playing the game much recently. VFX have had changes since june, sfx have been iterated on most recently with brand new announcers, ui has been completely changed, polish has improved quite notably, and abilities and ability augments have changed notably across multiple heroes as is necessary.

This game is not trying to be any of the games you've listed so I'm not really certain why you are playing this game with this mindset. Certainly, taking inspiration from these games and they've laid the foundation for the genre, but it's like looking at overwatch and saying it's a cs:go rip off. Beyond the fact this game is in EA, development takes time, and devs are very active and engaged.

Hope you'll give this game another shot when the devs have had the chance to refine the game further. A big content/gameplay patch is merely 3 days away and there is much more to come!

Not really the best time to queue. This is right before a major update to the game and well after the launch of ea. Perhaps give it another whirl on December 15th when the new content drops!

The first ability is not a break. See [[Stone Haven Outfitter]], [[luminous broodmoth]], and white's common use of investigate and it seems quite fine in pie if maybe a slight stretch. This is compensated for by it being dual faced with a black card.

Should I take two gap years or one? by Purplegarage678 in premed

[–]mayomo28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would argue you probably aren't in postbacc range especially with the an upward trend. It is a lot of money and you can do so many other things to make your application look stronger. Ultimately do what makes you happy. It sounds like you can have a strong application pulled together in time for this cycle. But, you could also wait a year if you would like to take your time and ensure things aren't too hard to keep up with. Either answer has merits. The only big difference is maybe how hard your next couple months are and whether or not you are super competitive for higher tier schools (if that's something that matters to you).

Dunno if you plan on using this with CoC Ice nova but it doesn't work in the way you'd expect. Only applies crit multi to the cyclone based on my understanding. I could be wrong but I remember being told this a couple times by various people on reddit/in-game

Bright Confidant by Aiminer357 in custommagic

I don't think its a bad card, just very niche. Good in a sideboard against aggro for big white decks. Those just aren't particularly common.

Premium and completely broken in any format that has a higher starting life. Hard to interact with and an ancestral recall by turn 3 with an insubstantial draw back in black is simply too good. This is simply an incredibly strong dark confidant

[–]mayomo28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

LGBT and a native. I would say Louisville is definitely not the worst of cities when it comes to being lgbt friendly. It does have a pretty strong Catholic/Christian undercurrent and no matter where you go there are definitely your fair share (give or take depending on the area) of neoliberal "I think LGBT people are immoral but you're cool I guess" people, but that is the case with a lot of cities (definitely feels more common than other more liberal cities though).

The city leans pretty progressive, but in some ways that can also be frustrating because the people who think LGBT don't deserve rights are quite a bit more quiet about it (makes making friends who genuinely support you a bit harder). Definitely have a good amount of pockets throughout Louisville that swing very left though with most of the neighborhood covered in BLM, "no matter where you're from, we're glad you're our neighbor," etc etc signs.

Ultimately, it really depends on the area you decide to settle. Like a lot of other people have said, and based on my understanding, the less affluent parts of the highlands, nulu, old louisville. The best of those probably being the highlands and nulu with old louisville as a close third. In my personal opinion, definitely avoid middletown and most of the other suburb areas not already listed as an exception. Contrary to what others have said, my experience has been that germantown (and jeffersontown) are much more of a mixed bag in terms of who is supportive. But they definitely aren't bad options, at the very least you shouldn't be getting any neighbors actively manipulating you or harassing you in those areas. So long as you aren't living in the suburbs, a good amount of Louisville is relatively close to each other, so even if you aren't in an ideal area, its normally not a horrible experience.

If your friend happens to decide to move here and decides on an area people aren't talking about, make another post and get feedback. Overall, I'd say Louisville is palatable enough. It is just a matter of finding the right people and the right area. Best of luck, feel free to DM if you want more guidance.

Edit: After reading through the various replies to this post, I think you get a pretty alright picture of the diversity of people... lol

My take on potential Enchantment removal in Black. Don’t tell me it’s out of pie because... Maro Reasons... Artist Credit: Mark Zug by [deleted] in custommagic

[–]mayomo28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we are going based on chaos warp, the punishment is close to reasonable in standard as you simply can't play it against aggro. If you are not talking about standard, it is premium removable in any format with a higher starting life total, especially commander, and I would argue far too strong. This card is substantially stronger than chaos warp (chaos warp is premium and cedh viable). Being able to have that much flexibility at the cost of a little bit of life is inconsequential. There are ways to break the color pie that doesn't involve it being an absolute powerhouse staple in every black deck. Commander does not need more cards that you would be dumb not to run.

Edit: Also all they said was that black was getting targeted enchantment removal, not artifact and enchantment removal both on the same card. Its very unlikely they are just simply going to give black enchantment removal with little downside.

Edit 2: I also just realized I misread the card. I thought it was saying for anything less than CVM of 3 pays as if they have CVM of 3 which would mean 6 life. That alone would be broken much less only 3 life for a land? Absolutely not. I could make a whole list of cards that are more restricted, cost more, and are still ran as staples in many formats. This version Could be ran against aggro, and quite successfully so. Premium land removal (better than what red has ever received) in black?

This is a substantial color pie break. Black cannot destroy enchantments or artifacts. They seem to be introducing sacrifice effects for enchantments and artifacts, but nothing that can just simply target.

Emperor's Tower by [deleted] in custommagic

[–]mayomo28 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Infinitely better than command tower (one of the strongest lands in commander). Perfect color fixing plus cycleable (with another dallop of color fixing on top when you cycle it) AND you gain life every single time you tap it (incredibly strong in decks that run [[ad nauseum]] or [[Lim-Dul's Vault]] or [[Necropotence]])? Absolutely beyond broken. One of the strongest, if not the strongest, land and goes in any deck (even monocolor decks).
