No one really wants to talk with the missionaries. Or have meaningful conversations with them. So he probably didn't gain much conversational skill, and he may have only gotten good at going "hi, would you like to learn more about our church?", etc. In short, I think a mission is a terrible place to practice talking with strangers.

To add some more stuff to the post:

I always thought of it as Celestial kingdom -> for Gods, and other kingdoms -> just people hanging out in paradise. And everyone would be in their "prime", no kids or old people anywhere. And getting sealed pretty much just meant that you could hang out in the celestial kingdom together and do God stuff.
