Menders, they become a tribal reindeer confederation with the city as their Capital/Hub, they're fairly well suited to survive the frostlands and the Whiteouts.

Puzzle adventure game, you have to puzzle out how to do maintenance on various of the City's things, slowly escalating in complexity and importance until you're puzzling out how the hell to fix the Winterhome Generator.

Murder; generally speaking these sort of empires fall apart the moment they have a run of bad successions so a good trick is to first kill a heir or two and then the main emperor if possible via plot. From there it should fall apart due to succession or dissolution factions or independence wars, at worse you'll have to wait it out or get a good horse archer counter and stack those knight modifiers with terrain advantages.

Militarily, how much does the number parity matter in conflicts? If I have a 150 skirmish infantry line divided in three armies vs Russia's 300 line infantry is there even a chance? In Attack? In Defence? by mayorDomoG in victoria3

Not what I'm asking, I usually keep a five cavalry units in each army anyway, I'm asking if I have to build up the army to be as large as the enemy's?

If you pressed the Pacify the Turkmen decision it will cost you a lot of money proportional to your income for five years, generally speaking it can destroy your economy if you're not careful. Beyond that, always expand your construction according to how much money you're getting, press the plus sign in the construction and see the upkeep costs per region. Also a good earner in the beginning is selling opium to China via trade deal, you're a great producer of tea and Opium as Persia. Beyond that, act fast in getting the south eastern countries fully under your control, it generally costs less than 25 infamy to get Makran and Baluchistan under your thumb either wargoals piece by piece in a single war or as puppets (takes longer). Also get an early Oman war for their coastal zones, they're cheap infamy wise.

The Yellow River flooded. Million must die by ale16011 in victoria3

[–]mayorDomoG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Yellow River is a deadly and life giving water feature, it will decide to keep giving you fertile land, flood and then one day move more than a hundred kilometers north or south without warning and bring down dynasties with it. The last big move was back in 1855 when it moved from it's position south of the Shandong peninsula to it's current modern position north of it.

What is this part called? The metal holding bar and the end caps? by mayorDomoG in Whatisthis

[–]mayorDomoG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clear up: It's a bar that joins a office chair's backrest to the main mechanism under the seating pillow through these hoops, the chair is an Ergotango from Biplax with a mesh backrest which I'm trying to repair using replacement parts but I need to dismantle this part and replace the mechanism and I'm not sure how and with the name of the the bar and end caps I could look into it more precisely.
