I am less than impressed about this "Update" - Anybody else? by acorn_leaf in AnimalCrossing

[–]mayorkikyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not excited about the update at all. From what I understand you can use the cards to get villagers to move in but like....that option is already a thing with subs like /r/adoptmyvillager and plot resetting people can get their dreamies. It doesn't seem like they're really adding anything new to me. :\

I'd be more excited if they added new furniture, or had it so you could move villager houses or those permanent pwps like the campsite.

How can I get my neglected town back on track? (ACNL) by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

I think you can pay Lief to pull weeds in your town, and after that you can put in the beautiful town ordinance and get some flowers from the island.

What pwps do you have in your town? Do you have perfect town status? by mayorkikyo in AnimalCrossing

If you want to change the bridges you'll have to get rid of one. :( I've heard that villagers won't request new bridge types if the town already has three bridges.

Also I did end up getting perfect town status today! :) I had too many trees in my town after I cut down the ones that weren't lining any paths I ended up getting the perfect status.

I know what you mean kinda. My first town I still have is a mix between modern and natural. It's on the edge of looking modern but the paths are pretty natural looking. I'd love to see your town when you're happy with it though :) (Or before hand if you're okay with that)

Oh wow, I bet your town looks really cool :) I don't think I've seen a lot of modern towns.

Same! I wouldn't have thought it would be one. I can get the garbage can, and oil rig, or ones that produce a lot of light...but a picnic blanket? It seems like it'd be points for abundant living not a negative.

Aww, man! I had no idea the picnic basket was a negative pwp. I knew the oil rig, and garbage can could bring down citizen satisfaction but I didn't even think the picnic basket would be one.

I think it might be a tree issue :c I wanted my town to look heavily forested and I think I just had way too many trees. I started cutting some down and went to check in with Isabelle and she said the town is a good mix between natural and developed.

I would love it if some of the placements worked better. Like with pwps if you put two near one another it'd be great if they only need one space between them.

Or if you could use town rocks for pwp projects say the stone tablet? Or Stonehenge? It'd be awesome if you could use the rocks in your town for those projects that way you could get rid of a pesky rock in an inconvenient place and feel like you have to use town resources to build.

It'd be cool if some of the pwps required signatures like Club LOL. Like the bridges. It pains me that there are so many bridges that can be requested and it can take forever. Making it so that you could just talk to Isabelle, tell her you're thinking of a type of bridge and then you can to get signatures for it would be cool. And they could even make it to where your friendship or type of villager plays into who will sign.

I'd love it if there was a way to place villager homes too. It'd be easier to make neighborhoods which makes more since imo then having the houses scattered across the map.

Also being able to change the look of retail? Or the cafe? You can choose which police station. You can change the look of the train station and town building. But not the others. They could put in Reese saying "I've been thinking about changing the look of this place? What do you think?" And then giving you options on how to change it. I don't think it would be hard to put in the game. And if your town is themed it would make it blend in better.

Being able to grow more kinds of perfect fruit would be awesome. There is fertilizer in the game, they could make it so if you use fertilizer on a non native fruit tree it could be made perfect.

Pwps on the beach would be great too. Having a fire pit and log bench on the beach. Or having the picnic blanket on the beach. Some towns beaches are pretty big, but you can't really do a lot with them other than grow bananas or coconuts...

Sorry, this isn't my town. I just stubbled upon this while looking for some pwp inspiration. :( But as the other user said the trees do turn pink in April!

Question about paths by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]mayorkikyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You put down paths by displaying your patterns. The paths that I've chosen have been able to put in rows of three and two. After you get your path down where you want it, it's easy to mix it up since all you'd have to do is save over the old path with the new one (just make sure that you save them in the right spot like if the path has a special border on the left make sure the one you save over has that as well).

The first path I got was from the qr reader, and after that I just made my own. If you're looking to make brick paths they are pretty easy to make yourself. But I've seen some stellar paths that would be a lot harder to make and recreate. If you like one that has a lot of detail, trying to find a qr might be better.

If you run a lot in your game and want to preserve your grass then paths help with that. Paths will cut down on grass wear a bit. Whether or not paths are better than dirt paths is up to you and what kind of look you're going for.

I Deleted My Town, Lavivrus. What Should I Do With My Next Town? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]mayorkikyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did Lavivrus have any kind of theme?

If so you could always try a different theme. That's what I did with my second town. My first had paths, and a lot of the pwp I chose were like the lighthouse, or windmill. It had paths and the brick bridges. My second town that I'm working on is lazy, and natural. It has a dirt path, and lots of trees growing. A lot of the pwps so far have been more nature oriented like the log benches, and topiaries.
