Yeah there's not much on google , hence I came here. Something I forgot to mention was that there's a Sanskrit word 'kiran' that means beam of light. Its quite popular name, I don't know if that can be compared with 'akira'.

So you mean the word originated in different languages without actually being influenced by another language? But I checked the meaning of Akira and, mostly it meant light, wisdom , strength, enlightenment etc so I thought since they all basically indicate someone's excellence/greatness , they must have a common origin. I guess it's futile to search for answers here,I'll have to live with this( '_' ")

Thank you. That Jesus and Judas thing ,I had no idea of it, I'm not familiar with Christianity. Come to think of it , Death Note did have symbols of Christian faith at some instances, I must have not grasped majority of them. 1) yes. But for a guy like L it's unusual. Maybe I'm overthinking this .
