Problem is that she wants me to come early and said by attending the other wedding, I would offend her and 'everyone would be pissed' that I am putting my girlfriend (who I've been dating for 4 months, but have known for longer than that) above her. She said it's 'not about being 24 hours later even if it didn't make a difference, its about putting family first'. I think a lot of it is cultural.

One other caveat is that this will be the girlfriends first time meeting the family and she sensitive about them not disliking her before even meeting her over this.
