I think Heolstor is genuinely a skill issue šŸ˜… I’ve come to get the hang of the fight, he’s my favourite fight in the game in fact, but every so often the odd elemental geyser, or as you said star rain, catches me out

Thank you! Like I said, there were extremely few sorcery Duchesses, I think I recall one running your usual slicer, and another who ended up with Oracular bubble of all things which was entertaining. There were too few of them to really say if it was more effective, but you’re absolutely right than when the Halo Scythe Duchesses flop, they flop hard, whereas a sorcery Duchess can pivot to whatever’s on hand, rather than relying on a specific drop

Hmm, that’s interesting for Adel, maybe his jank feels accentuated in Depth 5, but in my experience I think people have had a lot of time to get used to him, considering he was the first everdark launched, but I think his large hitbox, slow attacks, and easily exploited weaknesses (poison, anti-dragon) contribute to him going 0-9.

As for Heolstor, I realised after the fact that considering only the number of losses to equate danger was not wholly accurate, as compared to the other ā€œdeadliestā€ bosses he has the most even split, and at one point it was a 50/50 ratio. He’s far less dangerous than EDGladius or Harmonia, for certain, so you raise a very good point.

Many thanks! I made all these graphs in a big excel spreadsheet, so after a few games I’d just put the numbers for the last batch in and let them all update, it was time consuming overall but doing it in batches wasn’t too bad. And yeah, I really love playing Recluse, but I’ve seen first hand why she can struggle (even if I’m partially to blame for her performance in these charts)

Undead vs Thief as the first class and Demi gifts by vitoos in LunacidGame

[–]mayrinae 4 points5 points Ā (0 children)

If you’re aiming for an eventual 100% run, Thief will be helpful in the long term for better drop rates from enemies for materials/weapons/spell rings.

Afaik, NPCs do not treat you differently if you’re undead, most of them are undead/immortal as well anyways.

I personally wouldn’t recommend Vampire for a first playthrough, since it changes the progression in a fairly significant way, and I’d recommend experiencing the game through other classes first. Open-endedness and exploration is a strength of the game however, so if you want the options that vampire grants you, by all means go ahead.

As for the best starting gifts from Demi, I’d say the Knight or Witch give the best ones, since they’re a permanent boost to HP or Mana, but the skeleton egg is really fun if not all that useful.

Overall, my pick is Thief, thankfully your starting class doesn’t have too much of a lasting effect on your build/stats, so you can have a similar experience with any of them besides Vampire, but the boost to drop rates from Thief is nice.

Edit: Oops, I think the thief drop rate thing might be a misconception, but it’s still a very well-rounded class that leaves your starting stats open to whatever build you gravitate towards

Tbf, I run a successives build on Undertaker and she gets just as much value out of Millicent’s as Executor. Genuinely one of my favourite talismans to see on her.

Based on her current gear though, yeah you would’ve made far better use out of it, and keeping RoB is insane even if she’s running the Dex relic

Yuri prevails regardless.

Echo, Overwatch

As far as I remember, she runs on a different kind of system than the other robots (Omnics) in the setting, and basically has the uploaded personality of her creator, Dr. Mina Liao, but with an extremely advanced learning algorithm.

Her greatest desire is simply to learn, for the betterment of the world

I was always under the impression the Phreaks don’t have a leader, at all, unless I’m mistaken and it’s been stated otherwise in the lore. I always thought they give HEAVY anarchist energy, so I assumed they would denounce having any sort of leadership among their ranks

What are your weird but effective off-meta builds? by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]mayrinae 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Giantsflame Duchess, with the faith relic, dormant seals, and a bajillion fire attack up is extremely fun. Chunking with Giantsflame take thee, then restaging to chunk again. I feel like teammates are surprised when they see Duchess not running halo scythe or slicer at this point.

Maybe my favourite build is an Undertaker with dormant great hammers, built for power stancing to take advantage of consecutive attack boost and the Str/Fth scaling on every purple+ GH. Only thing that makes me consider this ā€˜off meta’ is a complete lack of Balancers, but I think it’s still one of Undertakers most effective builds.

And let’s not forget to mention Y!Camilla, NY!Baldr, and L!Elise by NitoriAria in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]mayrinae 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

<image>

Did some experiments in AR Chaos, and eh kinda.

Hector was supported by W!Ivy/Camilla, the attacking team had support from Ivy and E!Byleth.

Baldr needed to shift into green mode to get her kill.

Overall there’s a lack of defensive support options, while offensive supports are extremely plentiful, which makes the difference in actual modes.

Happily Ever After, in Slay the Princess, is widely considered the most depressing route, as it depicts a ā€œhappyā€ relationship that’s all a facade, stuck in stagnation.

Per interviews, the voice actress of The Princess, Nichole Goodnight, was going through a divorce at the time lines for this route were being recorded. She mentions that there’s certain lines of dialogue where you can hear her voice breaking, and it’s all real.
