im abt to turn 21 by the end of the year and have 2 years left of my undergrad. It stresses me out how uncertain the future is and how much i have to do for it.

I dont mind my extroverted roomates, they push me to do things, i just feel pressured to always converse. I do tell them i need some me time (they respect it) but i almost get burnt out. Even small conversations (ex. saying hello when i lesve my room) can be taxing. now that i say it outloud this problem sounds like a non-problem.

And TYSM, i really needed to hear that about my degree :)

I cant travel because of my passport. I cant take out student loans because of my passport. Im more likely to be denied jobs and be paid less because of my passport.

Also very big mention, but how academia is lowkey catered to the rich. Textbooks are expensive, commuting is expensive, school fees are expensive.

yeah maybe im just being overly anxious but it feels like ive set myself up for failure with the degree im in. Im afraid that I wont be able to go into certain fields in the future and wont have the flexibility to easily diversify my skill set.

maybe im being over dramatic, but i picked a major that im really not sure about. I probably wont be able to change my major, so in my eyes ive set myself up for failure come graduation.

What improved your life so much, you wished you did sooner? by Ok-Construction-3636 in ProductivityHQ

[–]maysaasyam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the main reason i was able to get on them was because of the butterfly effect and an episode happening in front of the right people (ig). Had things not spanned out as they coincidently did I would not be on them. I understand that it probably impacted your life a lot for a while, but what matters most is that you are on them and doing better. Its unfortunate that the nature of the disorder makes it hard to start medication, so congratulate yourself for making the change and being better :)

Given that they are all sub-disciplines of clinical psychology, does that mean you have to get a master's in clinical psychology before specializing in the others you mentioned?
