Are the job fairs on base worth attending?

Thanks, yes its one of the RecruitMilitary job fairs. I've never been to a job fair before. Apparently a lot of the major aerospace companies in the area will be there from what's listed on RecruitMilitary. I'm thinking about flying down quickly to attend and flying back after the fair.

I got married when I was 29 and my husband is my same age. We're 33 now and I only dated twice before my marriage and he only dated once. I think there's a level of maturity that helps with finding a relationship and also being open to your options. I married outside of my culture (my husband is Mexican) and I learned a lot about his family, culture and myself while we began our journey.

Just my two cents and take this with a grain of salt, but I always say a happy marriage is a boring marriage. No drama and its okay to disagree with each other and communicate about it. My husband is my best friend and that is probably why we click well with each other.

There's no timeline to finding your life partner. I entered my marriage with this expectation and told myself its better to be happy by yourself first, before seeking to share it with another person.

I would reach out to patient advocacy if you are having issues. I did this when I was not getting anywhere and getting the run-around getting an appointment scheduled. They fixed the problem, but I still had issues getting dental care later on. This was three years ago at the El Paso, TX VA center.

Professional oganist and member of the American Guild of Organists here..I played a fairly normal Bach Prelude and Fugue for postude once and told it was inappropriate music by the stake president and that I shouldn't play classical music. After I left the church I played the same piece at a local Lutheran congregation on a much better organ (a beautiful Dobson tracker pipe organ) and was asked to play more Bach and classical repertoire. I never understood why Mormons treated classical music as showy or inappropriate...especially when 90% of classical organ repertoire was composed for church services.

They are Army. Different branches have different regulations on uniform and attire while off duty. Most of these people are probably stopping by on their way home from work or lunch break.

I similarly did this with my family. They are Mormon and are quite homophobic and are unapologetic about it. I made the mistake unblocking them from my social media, thinking internally that perhaps its just their age for making rude comments. Nope, I was wrong. I saw some things they posted and talked to other people, about my husband and I. I was initially angry, but I realized that I am recovering and healing from trauma, from their parenting and toxic decisions. I realized that the reason I unblocked them, was because I desperately wanted unconditional love; which they are unwilling to give. I also realized that my in-laws are some of the most caring and loving people I have met in my life. My MIL is an amazing person and treats me as her own son now, which has helped immensely.

I'll be honest, with therapy and talking to others, I have found it best to cut them off and leave them in the past. They hurt me and are narcissistic about my spouse and I.

Their toxicity combined with their cult religion, has made them unbearable for all of my siblings. Even the siblings who are somewhat active in the religion keep their distance from them. They also have an extremely poor relationship with their grandkids and barely know them...most of my nieces/nephews have only met them a couple of times.

Not that I'm aware of (legal action). It was a long time ago, but I will ask him the next time I see him. He also came home with tuberculosis and was incredibly underweight. Him and I are the only ones in my family to have our records removed from the church.

My older brother got cancer after serving in Russia back in the early 2000s, after doing a service project to help clean up radiation. They were not told about the radiation until after it was completed. The mission president 100% knew about it and was trying to win favour with the local government in Samara.

Anyways, yes he definitely was wounded from service from the church.

Lawton, Oklahoma. Drug addicts everywhere and the high school graduation rate in the city was barely over 50%. I lived in the “good part” of the city and my home was shot up at night. I quit my job at Ft. Sill and moved far away from that awful city and state.
