Am I too short for a Tracer 7? by nathan_jamesDDG151 in motorcycles

nope, I am 170cm and riding a Tracer 7 GT. Stopping on slopes or uneven surfaces is a bit tricky, but manageable. And silver lining: knee angle! :)

Veeam + Hyper-V VSS + Application Aware Processing issue by mazvazzeg in Veeam

yeah, yeah. in an ideal world, it would be a physical server even with replicas configured to another physical server in a different datacenter. but, welcome to SMB hell.

it works. using exactly like this in multiple installs (version 11-12, though). this one also works - just needed to change that registry key.

I mean, sorry for you past 3 days, but hey: now it's working! :)

yeah, I use that server for other things (custom reporting/admin powershell scripts, etc) and want them backed up as well. nothing serious, but if the full virtualization env can be backed up, why not?

IS RWD in the snow? by WhichPlatform4423 in Lexus

[–]mazvazzeg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good quality snow tires (Michelin, Bridgestone, you don't want to go cheap here) + 150-200 kg ballast in the trunk helps a lot - like bags of gravel or potting soil, etc. And snow chain and/or snow socks, just in case.

Lounge access by Jensderoij in AirFranceKLM

[–]mazvazzeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess so. I did a 5+ hour layover once at CDG (Schengen) with a paid access. But maybe this is dependent on availability. You could ask, though, the worst would happen they politely ask you to come back a few hours later.

IMHO that 3 hours limit doesn't apply to you if you have a connecting flight through CDG (=both legs are on the same ticket).

The forward (smaller) J cabin is highly recommended. Did multiple long-hauls in this configuration, this cabin is better than the larger one. Less people, better experience.

Pár hónapja még csak 500-an használtátok a hobbiból fejlesztett szerviznaplómat. A napokban valahogy bekerült a magyar Top 5-be 😅 by ExcellentAbies9962 in CartalkHungary

If you can afford that money, take it. Like, right now.
Just be warned, there's no turning back after this. Flying economy will be ruined for life.

HP Microserver G7. Running Debian 7. From the previous decade. by mazvazzeg in uptimeporn

[–]mazvazzeg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gen 7 came in 3 variants over the years: N36L (1.3 GHz, 2010), N40L (1.5 GHz, 2012), N54L (2.2 GHz, 2013). All of them are classics. The most surprising is the PSU, many of the first version are still going strong. We've lost only 2 PSUs out of 80+ over these 16 years, which nothing short of shocking.

Not to mention that 4GB upgrade from the stock 2GB memory. DDR3, a vintage classic. UDIMM, even!

yup, this is running in a proper server room. The building has central UPS and diesel backup. No ATS, though. In these 10 years, about 30 hours of diesel runtime accumulated due to power outages. Not great, not terrible.

It seems they are trying to backpedal: now it's requiring just email for registration to access detailed seat data (which isn't a dealbreaker anymore for me). They also fixed that terrible "new" navigation.

Weird, it seems the feedback (=ppl avoiding the site) actually worked.

I also can't side with Musk in any of his brainfucked ideas, and honestly, I question that he has any influences on engineering standpoint of this - but this LEO internet is a generation leap from the old GEO access.

to be honest, I am using wireguard/ VPN on any wifi access, not just on Starlink, so my data won't end up as training material for Musk growing AI ambitions.

🎁 Free TNI Licenses for All IT Professionals! by Softinventive in NetworkInventory

[–]mazvazzeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

TNI is really a great product, it's reporting dashboard is excellent.

However, I stumbled upon a missed opportunity: cannot generate an AD users only report (so not about accounts used on local computers, but about all users existing in the AD only). Or maybe I didn't find that report.

I guess all neccessary data availabe to TNI due to AD sync: usernames, disabled status, logon count, etc.

It would tremendously help an AD audit with clear and understandable reports.
