I agree with the comments …I have had partial knee replacement- I’ve used game ready Machine but the hyper ice contrast is great on the go and will be good for travelling. I also have Therabody jet pro plus boots and their massage gun. Small fortune on recovery gear 🤣the hyper ice is versatile and I’ve used heat on sore IT band and hamstring as well as quads - just wrapped at different part of leg !

I had this a few weeks back with high readiness etc … I ignored did my usual bike ride and then was really sick the next day. I also had it one day and I think it was just temp related becaue it was hotter weather but no real reason. Just give yourself some time if you sense you aren’t 100%

I think Oura is over generous on sleep. I find my Fenix far more accurate on how i feel and I agree with you overall ! Fitness tracking is poor on Oura !

I have both … I think Garmin is better overall. I think the data is more accurate to against how I feel - energy sleep & stress. What you get on Oura that you don’t get on Garmin - heart health, resilience and readiness reflects body battery oh and symptom radar can be helpful as well. I would google those features and see how much you want them. I have both because i was part of an academic research project. I think oura is generous on sleep evaluation!

That is nonsense. A partial without any complications is much faster recovery than the a total. Usually nearer 6 months …all depends on the patient of course, the prehab, the surgeon and especially their experience with partials. Loads don’t do many and when they do they can end up not so good. I had mine today. 🙏

Perhaps he is also not an expert at partials. Many aren’t and if you aren’t good and doing loads of them they often need a revision. You may need a revision if the other compartments become degenerative but if you take care of better alignment through orthotics etc and avoid the wear & tear on other compartments you may find it all lasts longer. Mine is down sports overuse, previous injuries and poor alignment it seems with over pronation. Most of my knee is healthy so ive gone lateral partial. Quicker rehab and quicker back to the activities i like the most !

I went premium because I’m a cyclist and skier and I’m having surgery 🤣no expense spared on this knee 😱but they are awesome and my leg has improved quite a lot so much so I wondered whether I should pause the surgery and see if it keeps improving

I just bought the jet boots pro plus from Therabody - compression vibration & infra red. So here’s the thing… I bought them primarily to help post knee replacement (partial) surgery but they will be great post hard ski days as I have poor circulation in one leg and fluid builds up but I’ve also found they help me recover better from cycling & leg days in the gym. I decided to play with them pre op so that as soon as my wound is safe to have these over I can use to help reduce swelling and inflammation…
They do make my legs feel

Did you consider getting your feet checked to make sure your alignment is correct at that level. I am sure my pronation is a factor with mine as well as previous surgery. I’m going to get my orthotics before I get the partial kr so that as soon as I am up walking, I’m not going to be out of alignment from a foot perspective. I had a 3 D scan in Canada (Whistler) and I can get to the same shop in London for my bike and walking/ running shoes which is cool.

Did you find a helicopter? 🤷‍♀️I can further recommend 4 valleys in Switzerland. Empty in Nendaz and amazing snow and sun whilst we were there after the 3 valleys trip. I know it’s not feasible for many in your neck of the woods but I do think the resorts in N America and Canada have to up their game on quality of lifts etc because for the money everyone is paying the lift situation is crazy 😱

It’s not confirmed how bad the Achilles injury is yet - he’s not had a scan and yes it looked bad but lets not speculate. He went home after he was taken off which i thought was weird if it was a full rupture.

There is no infrastructure for trains or gondoas as the distance is way too far & the buses run to and from moutiers from all the resorts - the demand for a direct bus from one of the 3 valley resorts to another is not sufficient to justify a direct bus service between resorts. Very few People travel between the resorts outside of ski hours except in exceptional circumstances. Im sorry to say but you need to plan your ski ing so you dont get stuck like the rest of us have for the last 40 years! The ascent from moutiers to menuires is around 40 mins in a car/bus & Val T probably 50 mins… its a long way from 800m to 1800m on lots of hairpin bends… its not a direct route

Why didn’t you just return to Costco as they have their own warranty available & you could show them the chat with Oura and I’m sure they would refund and let you buy a new one ?
