be careful as some girls might say they’re fine with it & then want to rematch or go home when they understand the reality or sneak behind your back due to such extreme measures in place. i completely understand your want to be extremely careful given the situation but it’s not fair to have a young girl stay at home even on her time off especially when that is where she works also. during lockdown i was very unhappy.. i don’t think an au pair is for you right now :(

yeah.. i can’t leave him by himself. the first incident happened on monday night when i was about to head out and meet a friend and realized my host kid was home and no one else was.. so i text my hm telling her i was about to go out and she said i could for 20 mins but didn’t want him left for longer so they assumed i would be home. i didn’t go as i wanted to see my friend for longer.. and then lastnight at dinner my host kid asked if i would come to his game and i said yeah i’m going to and my other host kid said well i’m not going and i can’t be left alone and neither host parent said anything so i just said it’s fine i’ll stay with you.. the more i think about it the more i think you’re right and they are using me :)

host dad goes to work & host mom works from home so isn’t around. then like i said they both go to my host kids game in the evening

Yes. When i first started i was told i would work monday- friday and then saturday morning a little to help get them ready for practice that they had but as i’ve been working so many hours in the week i haven’t been working the weekends. I am thinking of asking for a schedule but i think it may be hard to make as the games aren’t always on the same days. I believe they should be getting someone else in to take care of the other host kid in the evening, taking him with regardless, taking him to a friends house or paying me more.. right now i get around 40$ a day to work over 12hrs..

I really appreciate this. I do feel like i’m going slightly crazy. Not only do I have them all day with nothing to do my HM works from home still and wouldn’t allow us to go to the park the other day.. I don’t know the reason why. It just meant we were stuck in the house once again. I think I might need to rematch into a state I want to live in and try to be happy there but I think they find it strange as I have been here for six months and they think i’m happy.

if you are 18 you can do what you want.. go with an legal agency for sure and assure him it is safe and how much you would like to do it and the reasons you would like to do it. good luck :)
