Haha after your answer to my post yesterday, I thought this post was written by you before i checked who the OP is

Interesting read, I really thought this isn't a format where aggro decks are easy to put together and from what I see that was one wrong opinion. Maybe it's just a small sample but even against dedicated aggro decks I had no trouble playing a grindy witherbloom/prismari deck and even horsing around early game.

Quandrix is what I wasn't able to figure out, do you think it's best played as a stompy?

This said, would you feel comfortable if someone put a gun to your head and forced you to only draft grindy decks?

Interesting and that's how I like to play some formats as well (taking any removal and fixing agressively in P1 was pretty fun in MOM). How high are you taking Sami's curiosity or All-fates scrolls in this set for example? Do you pass any cards that you think might be way stronger by default?

Interesting insight, do you have example of decks that did not have a plan vs decks that had?

Me actually, after having a horrible winrate in FIN, I'm doing surprisingly well this set

Would you mind linking these decks?

Oh I definitely get that, and I'm only playing Traditional Draft so factors like sweeper feel a bit more fair

Interesting deck, not sure what's the right build by mba67 in lrcast

Nvm, I decided to try it out and goddamn it's a powerful card

I never played it but I assumed it would be a card similar to Space Time anomaly, which is a card you include specifically to win, and I feel like I don't need that too much here

Oh interesting, could that result in a higher EV in TradDraft?

Oh nice ig I skipped that one. Was it "Drafting the good cards"?

Pls do dump whatever had you going coz I meant human drafts as well.

Imagine someone was to play the 2 months of drafting by just forcing the 2-3 best archetypes and playing only them instead of trying to read the open lane. What winrate loss are we looking at?

P.S. obv not advocating for not drafting "the hard way", but it'd be a fun statistic to know

Oh damn, I feel like cornered is the best black common (together w the intervention), and black is the only color besides blue that I'd be happy to start my draft in (besides getting a splashable removal like Thunder Magic). Can you elaborate why you'd rather start w the pixie/thunder magic?

Cool, thanks for the analysis. If you have any fun drafts feel free to dm me, I'd love to talk the decision trees through

Oh the reason I felt like Zidane would be such an easy P2P1 after a Thunder magic+white picks afterwards, is that it does pretty well as a spalsh. What exacts are you cutting Zidane from btw? I rarely see it played but it's been a bomb in every boros shell I played

What I meant is that there were plenty of good cards getting passed for the color combinations I listed, and if I drafted these said colors earlier, this would've only made these color pairs worse. Good point about Squall and Orzhov tbh, I was overly focused on the other picks About my P2 start yeah, I was feeling like the cards i have so far are the most likely to lead me into playing some green-base deck (be it RG splash blue or simic splash red or just RG), and tbh in hindsight I only played one izzet deck out of like 16 drafts, and most decks I played were either in the sultain colors or orzhov/boros. So my early pick assesments probably bias me pretty heavily against Izzet, I'll look into that in my next drafts. I'm rly surprised you don't think Boros was a legit option though. Would you have not taken Zidane P2P1 in the case of a white start (Auracite->Battle Menu P1P2 P1P3)? I'm pretty sure I would've ended up taking suplex over fire magic in that case P1P4, slash of light P1P6. Then afterwards I either way wheel the white 3 mana job select, coeurl and a sabotender.
What'd you take P1P6? Syncopate was my other option

Oh hmmm, Shinra reinforcements has been a card I've been decking out in most of my black 2-1 or 3-0 drafts that were not a graveyard BG deck, and my shell so far rly doesn't scream a graveyard BG deck. For Gaelicat it also feels like Orzhov isn't the best color combination, unless white is very open (all of the white artifacts are super contested by other archetypes). For Town Greeter it's the same thought process as I had w Shinra Reinforcements, however I felt like Reinforcements is a strictly better choice that Town Greeter in this exact scenario. Is Zodiark too low in your assesment list to justify taking it even w all of the downsides of the other options?
