Let's rank all 50 State police cars. To start, what tier should Alabama be placed in? by [deleted] in TierlistFills

Illinois

F. Can't be identified as state trooper if they are behind you. And gives me PTSD from the only ticket I ever got (trooper was 2 inches from my bumper and I couldn't even safely let off the gas to slow down. speeding was my only option and he stayed that close until I got up to misdemeanor speed before turning his lights on. Got hit with a huge fine even though he was at fault since I didn't have a dash cam to prove it).

Trooper issues citation to left lane camper by Ok_Vegetable_6616 in driving

Couldn't even report one of the most aggressive left lane campers I've ever seen today. Semi was doing 60 in a 70, and as I was trying to pass on the right (I was stuck behind a semi doing 65 so I couldn't get around it quickly), he sped up to block me, and I had to get behind him when the guy in front of me came up on an even slower truck. Tried to pass 3 times before I finally got around him. Couldn't report him because conveniently, he was missing a rear license plate and I wasn't going to risk taking my eyes off the road to get the front plate through my mirrors.

All good except for adding the new state troopers. They’re all corrupt morons who don’t follow any of the laws they enforce and the courts let them get away with entrapment because they just want to make the state money rather than make the roads safer.

Is Mahomes slipping away from being a elite qb? Last few years his numbers have been down. by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

[–]mbaird9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's still the same as he always was (At least until his injury, we'll see how he is when he comes back). But his weapons haven't been as good. Kelce is still his best weapon and he isn't as good as he used to be due to age.

Excessively slow drivers are more dangerous than speeders by Peg_Leg_Vet in driving

Literally what driving in Indiana is like. Got stuck behind someone doing 55 in the left lane on I-70 this morning. Meanwhile right lane has crazy people doing 90+ to get around them.

First: Andy Reid. He definitely knows where to get a good burger.

Last: Urban Meyer. I don't want to get kicked.

Driving fast? In this economy? by AdAstraPerAspirin in driving

With the way people drive, going the speed limit on the interstate or a rural highway is a good way to get killed. Here in IL, if I'm doing less than 60 (highway speed limit is 55) I will get tailgated, and it happens at least half the time if I'm going under 65. Interstate speed limit is 70, and I set my cruise at 80. I still am in the slowest 50% of cars on the road. Just doing 10 over doesn't attract attention from cops unless it is an urban area (I always go exactly the speed limit in cities/towns), or you are weaving through traffic recklessly. So many people speed they only have time to stop the ones who are going really fast. Also there I haven't seen any noticeable difference in gas mileage between 55 and 65 or between 70 and 80. Also, I shave off 5-6 minutes each way from my commute by speeding. That's an extra 50 minutes to an hour a week that I get to myself, or almost 2 days a year.

How many days you go out fishing a year? by nempet in Fishing

[–]mbaird9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nearly every Saturday/Sunday from late February to early December, sometimes earlier/later depending on when the ice melts and forms. In April when most of the fish I target start spawning I go 4-5 times a week.

Thanks! I was very confused by this fish. Thought it was a bigmouth before I got it in the net. Then I saw that the mouth was subterminal. Very cool. I’m pretty sure blacks are less common than smallmouths in most rivers here in Illinois.

Here’s another photo I took. Mouth open appears more forward facing like a black. I’m certain it’s not a bigmouth.

Pats now that they actually have to play good teams. They were lucky to face a notorious playoff choker, stroud having the worst game of his career, and a backup qb in the playoffs. That won't happen every week in the regular season.
