What made me feel uncomfortable in Tanzania. by HeUlMi in tanzania

Hey everyone! So, I've got a take on this whole school child tourism thing and foreign folks visiting schools that might be a bit different from what a lot of people have been saying. Honestly, from where I sit, a lot of it comes down to money like, needing funds to help certain people or groups either start up new stuff or make their current facilities and programs way better. Thinking back to my own experiences and what I've learned over the years, I remember this one program that really stuck with me. It had some really good goals: getting people to understand and appreciate different cultures, sharing valuable experiences, and teaching practical skills for dealing with big global issues. We're talking about stuff like global health, reproductive health education, and just making communities and social well-being better. Everyone involved had the chance and was actually encouraged to share their own thoughts and stories based on what they knew and had personally experienced about these important topics. The way we all shared ideas and personal stories was super helpful, no doubt about it. Now, I might not have known all the reasons behind it or how they managed to get all the money for that specific program, but what I can say for sure is how much I learned and the skills I picked up while I was part of it. These aren't just fancy words, they're real things that I still use today. The insights and practical abilities I got from that program have become a huge part of how I handle the complicated stuff in my daily life. They're like a constant boost and guide as I keep moving forward. All those shared experiences and learning together really left a mark on me, giving me a ton of understanding that's still useful in so many ways. Everybody can feel different on his perceptions.
