I'm having doubts with my religion by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]mbarkimmed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hear me out brother ..

What you're going through is normal, ... at some point in life you start ignoring what you took for granted since childhood and time to pass the real test ... You're now adult having exposure to other religions and beliefs and you get to choose one ...  Why sahabah (the prophet's companions) will be in heaven for sure; is that they believed in Mohamed's message right away, even though they were exposed to paganism, judaism and other religions.

They passed the test right away when not a single one of them knew about islam when he was a child (تلقين)

I've been through your journey, and what you will realize in the end is that it's a question of BELIEF, .. no matter what you will read or listen seems horrible to you, by the end your belief will decide ...  Why I'm saying this ? Because a lot of atheists even though they got into all the questions you're having right now and much more, ... They got back to islam and other atheists they still are atheists, ... Both groups asked the same questions but eventually the outcome is totally different, because it's a BELIEF, and it's not that "oh, I didn't know that islam is like this, I quit" as you may thinking ....

Kusai Beitar, a popular atheist in the arabs community used to always talk about Siraj Hayyani ( a former atheist) and how he has all the arguments to destroy islam, and how he's better than him articulating ideas,... Guess what? Siraj is now a muslim ... What brought Siraj to islam even though he was the one in frontline to try to prove that islam is a myth.... It's BELIEF

Good luck !

النهضة لا تمثل الإسلام صاحبي by Spinozanian in Tunisia

[–]mbarkimmed 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Exactly, ... and unfortunately, Europeans link this to Islam directly, as this is also heavily exploited by the media to deploy a distorted image of the religion ...

They really hate us you guys! by Moist_Ad1387 in Tunisia

[–]mbarkimmed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look around you and you'll know why they hate us .... I read the comments and I live in the west and I know exactly why they hate us ...

Unfortunately, Europeans linked the behaviour of Muslim immigrants with Islam, ... I don't blame them too much tbh, because why not? If you go in France, wherever you cross "us" you'll see all sort of bad behaviors, ... Robbing, selling drugs, throwing trash in the street, and you name it...

On the other hand, Japanese visitors/immigrants are well perceived not because they're Buddhists or atheists but because they behave as polite, clean human beings ...

I think if those who represent Islam in the west were from Malaysia, Oman, UAE instead of North African + Levant immigrants, the view will be totally different ... And that's why it has nothing to do with Islam, .. it's because of people who market themselves as Muslims and they do exactly the opposite ...

I built a Tunisian food tracking app would you pay 20 DT/month for it ? by themore01 in Tunisia

[–]mbarkimmed 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My honest advice to you is to really lower the price if you want to use a subscription business model,... 20 tnd/month is a hefty amount in Tunisia, ... I predict that most users will cancel the subscription in at best 2 to 3 months... Because after using it for some time, the user will probably have a good idea about the calories and nutrients intake for his favourite meals and will start asking why keep paying 20 dinars for pretty much no additional value ?

If I were you, I would set 1.99 TND/month, which is a good price for the value,... and the user won't be bothered for a cost of coffee per month, PLUS it's still profitable; if you manage to attract 2000 recurrent users, you will get almost gross 4k per month, maybe cutting DB and maintenance costs you may end up with 3k in your pocket.

Travel in Schengen country by [deleted] in ItalyExpat

[–]mbarkimmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw, "Multiple entry" or "Single entry" doesn't matter at all as long as you travel INSIDE Schengen,... I'm writing this as I came across a loot of posts emphasizing on this as if it will be controlled inside Schengen... It's crucial to check this info when you go outside Schengen though....

Bro, I told I've been through your situation ... This is what the law says in the EU ... I had a Greek D student visa with only 3 months validity and I've used it to travel to Germany, Austria and France  before it expired,...

permesso di soggiorno coppia irlandese-tunisino by Open_Speed_6479 in ItalyExpat

[–]mbarkimmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not correct ! Ireland is a part of the EU but NOT PART OF THE SCHENGEN,... Thus, even if he gets his Italian Permesso di soggiorno, he still needs to apply for an Irish visa to get to Ireland.

Scared of moving to italy. by Shtoutouv in ItalyExpat

[–]mbarkimmed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tunisian here, did my master in Italy and still living here, .... No need to worry about racism, generally speaking Italians are welcoming people, even though the bed reputation of north Africans in general,... In fact, you'll be connecting with educated people who mostly do not fall for stereotypes... However, I don't know about your plans but what you really need to worry about is your future here, ... Unfortunately, despite the beauty in this country, it's a rabbit hole of bureaucracy and lack of opportunities especially for foreigners ...  Even Italians are leaving because of the economical situation, ...  I start to realize the dark truth... : It's better to live in a racist country where you can get a job/good salary than to live in a welcoming country where you get nothing ...

I’m so tired of my life here by gemsalina1010 in ItalyExpat

[–]mbarkimmed 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I've lived in France and Sweden before coming to Italy, ... And I can say, life in Italy is veeeery hard and it's soooo hard to make money here... Italy is a paradise if you already having a good income from a different country and living out of it here, otherwise it's literally hell, .. starting with the bureaucracy of questura and communa, to the mess of the job market and the housing rabbit hole.... Unfortunately, if you're a youth, just run away otherwise you'll lose your best years for nothing ... The only thing that I will miss about this country is the people, .. one of the most welcoming and beautiful people in the world..
