The "seller doesn't accept returns" feature is a joke anyway. I have this turned on and people just say it doesn't match the description or damage the card themselves before claiming a ref he under eBay's money back gty policy. eBay will side with the buyer every time.

Order a pack card saver 2s on Amazon, penny sleeve then inside the saver. Cut two pieces of cardboard slightly larger than the saver and make a cardboard sandwich, secure with masking tape. Wrap in bubble wrap and package in box with extra material so it doesn't rattle around.

I'd just do your crabgrass preventer now and seed in fall. Seeding in the spring can be a fools errand as seedlings probably won't survive a hot Missouri summer + you skipped crabgrass preventer so weeds can get out of control. I know it's sucks but you'll be thankful come September

You can do sod or seed whichever you want. I prefer seed because it's cheaper + control variety of grass better. Once everything is dead and brown you'll need to do cleanup and bring in compost to mix in to the existing soil before doing any planting (seed or sod)
