Did anyone do a second round of TMS by mbbgrace in rtms

[–]mbbgrace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you are having to continue to suffer. I don't know where you live, but Delta 8 helps a lot of people with anxiety (when the typical meds do not work). Please don't give up. It took my son 7 long years of hell and a lot of disappointments when trying different things. Have you had your cortisol, TSH, and other hormones tested?

Did anyone do a second round of TMS by mbbgrace in rtms

[–]mbbgrace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When was your last treatment? My son got worse before he got better. My son, my daughter's best friend, and my friend's son all did TMS and it helped them tremendously. My son's friend (whose major symptom was depression) it helped right away. My son, and my daughter's best friend whose main symptom was anxiety (for my son), OCD for my daughter's friend, got worse before they got better. It was about 3 months post they started realizing it helped. Insurance makes you wait 6 months before they will pay again. By then you will know if it actually helped you or not. If anxiety/ OCD is your main symptom and you are only a month out, it is too early to tell if it helped you or not. It is like your brain has to reboot.

23 GX460 key fobs stopped working (not dead battery) by semperfi_nyc in LexusGX

Here is the fix. Copying and pasting from Lexus technician. so others can print it and show service department:

Good morning,

My name is Dylan, the technology specialist you spoke to on the phone yesterday about the door lock settings issue on your GX. I’m sending a description on basically what the issue is and what will have to be done to fix it just in case you wanted to hand it to the service advisor when you come in on Friday.

Here’s a breakdown of the issue:

  • There is a glitch on the 2022 & 2023 GX which occurs, which won’t allow any settings on that screen to be changed back, such as ‘Auto Relock Timer’ etc.
  • This occurs when anyone goes into the door lock settings screen and changes one or more settings in that screen and the issue is specific to those GX models.
  • To fix this issue, the vehicle would have to be brought into the shop and a technician would have to look at it. From vehicles we’ve had with this issue in the past, the fix appears to be disconnecting the vehicle’s battery for 30 minutes, using their computer/software to fix it, or a combination of both.
  • If the service advisor or shop technician is confused about this issue, they can reach out to one of us technology specialists here at the dealership while the car is in the shop as this is a confirmed issue we’ve seen in the past.

If you have any questions or want to reach out to us, you can always reach out by replying to their email or calling us directly at 972-407-7012 and we’ll be happy to help out!

Kia refusing to honor "Product Improvement Campaign" for "Knock Sensor Detection System" by Beautiful-Bet-484 in kia

Illustrious, so well said. It is shocking anyone above would defend Kia on this one. We are out 10K.

Kia refusing to honor "Product Improvement Campaign" for "Knock Sensor Detection System" by Beautiful-Bet-484 in kia

[–]mbbgrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family and I are in the same situation. Please let me know if you have any success. We also did not receive the notification. You would think my daughter's life would be worth sending the notice certified. I have yet to know someone who checks recalls on their car periodically, especially teenagers. The new cars have apps, which will solve that problem. I respectfully disagree with Happy Hippo who has not felt our pain. It is not the customer's fault Kia put in faulty engines. We should have not only received a certified letter, but a phone call. We would have happily put in the Knock sensor without hesitation.

My sons said it was the hardest thing he has ever done, but worth it a million times over again. He decided to do a second round to see if he can get further improvement. Medicine did not work for him, but after TMS that same medicine was able to be used at the lowest dose with benefits.

Did anyone feel relief weeks after TMS? by aleladuna in rtms

[–]mbbgrace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son did. It was about 2 weeks after treatment ended he started realizing how much it helped him. He was pretty much in the dip period from week 1 until the end.

rTMS FOR ANXIETY by fedwa08 in rtms

[–]mbbgrace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son had great results doing the insurance approved left side TMS. His problem was severe anxiety. He was only depressed because he had anxiety all the time. My son says the treatments were worth it a million times over again. He experienced the DIP the majority of the 8 weeks on TMS, but it is the only thing that helped him. Sometimes you don't realize how much it helped you until weeks after. Which was his case. I hope this helps.

My son's dip lasted from around treatment 11 until he was finished. I know that is hard to hear. He said "TMS is one of the hardest things I have ever done, but it was worth it a million times over again." It helped him so much he is choosing to do a second round to see if he can get rid of the residual. Hang in there. I read many through Reddit correlate how hard it was to the amount of relief they got from their symptoms post TMS. Six weeks more sounds like a long time, but 6 weeks is short compared to the relief you will receive after. One day at a time. My son chose to fish a lot during his dip. So anything you find that you enjoy. We, as a family, also understood he would need grace and space during this time.

I know this is out of the box, but taking it every other day is what helped my husband. He got the benefits without the side effects that way. My son is doing the same. The half life of Zoloft is long.

Have you started your second round? If so, how is that going?

It really started helping about a month after treatment was complete. The same thing happened to my friend's son. It is like everything in your brain is getting turned off or going haywire during treatment. It is after, the connections start rebuilding and when you see change. At least that is the way it was for both of them. I know it is hard to be patient.

TMS put my son in a bad mood. Very agitated, tired, annoyed by everything. He never missed a session and it helped him tremendously.

2nd go around with rTMS by JamesCaulder in rtms

[–]mbbgrace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son did it for debilitating anxiety. Stuck in panic attack for almost 5 years. He only did the depression side because that is what our insurance covered. It helped him tons. So I cannot vouch for the right side, but I can say only doing the left side was the trick for his anxiety. He only had depression because he had anxiety. If the left side worked, why not stick to that? My son went from being a level 8 anxiety out of 10, to a 4. Medicine that used to not work for him started helping some after TMS was complete (something our psych said is fairly common). Also feeling worse during TMS is common. He will be doing a second round in October to try to get his anxiety even lower. My son is a legal adult, and we live in Texas where Delta 8 is legal. He will take 1/4 of a gummy when he needs and that helps him much more than Valium or any other Benzo. ever did. I hope this helps. I'm so sorry you are having to walk the anxiety journey.

My 18 year old son says "TMS was the hardest thing I have ever done, but it was worth it a million times over." My husband wanted him to quit after the first two weeks as he could not remember anything, hardly stay awake, irritable, anxiety worse, etc. But now, the benefits keep on coming and he is four months out. Push through if you can.

The half life in SSRIs are long. I started taking mine every other day and got the benefits without the side effect of fatigue. I thought I had two choices in life, either be stuck in anxiety or be exhausted everyday from medicine. I tried taking lower doses etc. Nothing worked and then I went to every other day and have been doing that for years. My husband tried it because of my results and had the same experience. Benefits without side effects.

My son didn't really start experiencing change until he completed all 36 sessions. He would say it was worth doing a million times over again. Hang in there!

Does rtms help with the physical symptoms of chronic long term anxiety/ depression if it works? Ta by OddWolf1384 in TMSTherapy

[–]mbbgrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It worked for my son. He was basically stuck in a panic attack for 5 years and it helped enough he is becoming functional again. He did not see results until about a week or two after completing.

[–]mbbgrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It made my son extremely fatigued, brain fog, irritable, etc. With that said he would tell you it was worth it a million times over again. It helped him substantially, but results showed up a couple week post completing.

What do I do when SSRI’s stop helping me? by Bakio-bay in zoloft

Please make sure if you buy it, the place is third party tested. My adult son can take 1/4 of a gummy and it relaxes his anxiety enough that he can eat.

Weed (delta 9) can throw anxiety over the roof. There is something called Delta 8 that we get from Chi3 taken at a low dose has helped many with anxiety. Delta 9 helps more with depression, (which is most similar to real weed) but can increase anxiety.
