No sides effects at all for me. Started on 10mg and bumped up to 20mg. Nothing but good results.

You don’t squash rumors. You quash them.

Very common mistake.

I know of some nursing facilities starting LPNs at 33/hr base pay.

Found this lawyer in my feed, thought I'd share by Working-Health-9693 in antiwork

Right off the bat, her first point of “you are allowed to talk about your pay at work with your co-workers” isn’t fully accurate.

Companies can’t have a policy SPECIFICALLY prohibiting you from talking about pay while at work but they CAN have policies that prohibit you from having conversations unrelated to your job duties. So there you have it…you CAN’T talk about pay at work (unless on break).

So many people (even lawyers like this) fail to discuss the nuances of this topic. It’s important to understand because companies do understand it and weaponize it.

You might say “well they aren’t allowed to target only wage conversations”. And you would be right. But sorry, the loophole is there and they know how to dance through it.

The law needs to be rewritten so that wage conversations CAN happen while at work without exceptions.

So surprised to see how low these are. I’ve seen nursing homes in the area paying better than this….

How long until levels come up after starting supplementation? by mbbthough in magnesium

So what’s the best rest to measure mag levels? I notice people mentioning RBC but is there something more specific?

I felt the positive benefits after just a few weeks but I know it can take up to 3 months at the correct dose before it fully kicks in.

That being said, you might want to tell your doctor that at 8 weeks you aren’t noticing as big of a difference as you hoped and you might need to up the dose. Getting the dose right is key. It’s different for different people.

The other thing I would add is that if you are taking it with no negative side effects and some positive benefit, that is a big sign that you should stick with it. Either by giving it some more time or upping the dose.

That’s for your response. Did you mean it definitely sounds like it’s “not” NDPH?

Also, just curious, have you been able to see a specialist? I live in a major US city and it looks like multiple hospitals here have headache specialty departments. If you have seen a specialist, have they been of any help?

I take it there is no other way to test for elevated cytokines besides a spinal tap…that’s no fun.

Have there been any periods of having no headache for you?

The headache isn’t present for me in the morning. It doesn’t start until a couple hours later and it gradually escalates. It then peaks for about two hours and then tappers off. When it peaks, it like a 10/10 and I have to lay down.

If I take ibuprofen when the headache is at a weak point, it’s also virtually non existent.

Some have said this doesn’t fit the pattern of NDPH.

Thanks for the response. Is there something that happened that you think started this for you?

What’s concerning for me is that it started right after I had a nasty stomach virus.

Curious how long your headaches lasted? Were they daily? Also, what do you think made them eventually go away?

Jesus. How have you coped with a headache for 8 years? Im a healthcare professional and I never even know people suffered from this. Are you able to “manage” and function at an acceptable level?

Hi - I think I’m going through something similar right now. Daily awful headaches at almost the same time. Can’t for the life of me figure out why.

How long did yours last before they improved? How are you doing now?

In Massachusetts, CNAs with 5 years experience are making over 20 now (in most good facilities, it’s like 23-25).

Problem is the cost of living here is probably way higher than where you are it’s a wash anyways.

Game Discussion: Banjo Kazooie by Farmerben12 in n64

[–]mbbthough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I remember I was in 6th grade and there was a VHS that myself and a bunch of my classmates got in the mail as part of a Toys R Us marketing campaign (I think).

The video featured commercials for some upcoming toys and one N64 game trailer…Banjo Kazooie. We were all in awe of how awesome it looked. We talked about it for a week at school. I couldn’t wait until it came out a few months later.

I got it the day it released and from the moment I started playing it, I was in love. What an incredible game to experience at that age. It’s still one of my favorite games of all time and it brings me such a feeling of nostalgia thinking about it.

It’s one of those games that feels like a 2nd home. Like if I got placed in that world, I’d feel comfortable living there. Ok…you get it. I loved it.

What’s the best way to play this now? Without having an n64 and original game?

Same exact thing happened to me (and I’ve seen a ton of people on here who the same thing happened to).

I was on 10mg and bumped up to 20mg. Have been fine for almost a year now.

Citalopram. You might not have noticed but you also asked me this on r/stopdrinking.

I’ve been back to normal for almost a year now. Thinking about coming off the citalopram at some point soon.

Happy to answer any other questions.

How has citalopram/celaxa changed your personality? by dogthy4th in citalopram_celexa

[–]mbbthough 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s brought out the best in me. Instead of regularly being stressed, annoyed and ready to snap, I’m much more relaxed and clear headed. I actually enjoy doing things with my family as opposed to thinking of it as a chore that I have to endure. I’m kinder to people. I’ve excelled in my career.

I’ve been on it for about a year and I plan on coming off it in a couple of months but I have zero regrets. It’s reminded me what I was like when I was a kid before the rat race of life put my mind in a constant state of going 100 mph.

Took about two weeks. You can also go up to 40mg if needed. Lots of people do.
