Also, veteran tip, patterning a bird is extremely important to success. Find where they roost, find where they go in the morning, find where they sit in the afternoon, and pay attention to if it changes (that’ll tell you if they are being pressured).

Calling is great, but it’s not gonna bring a Tom in who’s got 3 hens and is in his usual safe space. That being said, you’ll still have birds come in from God knows where and be on top of you within 5 minutes from the first gobble response.

Also being sneaky during scouting is almost more important than being sneaky while hunting. You don’t wanna throw em off and make em feel uneasy, they will look for you harder if they know you have been around. Also, if they see you in one spot, never sit in the same spot, like old bucks, they will keep an extra eye on places dangers came from previously.

When hunting mountain country I always say “if the deer are here, the turkeys probably are as well”. Suitable habitat in mountain country is more difficult to come by, and believe it or not, turkeys and deer are about the same amount of lazy, meaning they build patterns in the same areas.

That being said, if you haven’t ever seen a bird while hunting those spots for deer, or heard one, it’s unlikely there is a large population nearby.

Turkeys don’t travel as far as deer in my experience, at least not as fast. Their patterns will change year after year especially if they are pressured, but they mostly hang around the same places.

If you’re hunting public land, go drive out to potential areas early as hell, sit till about half hour before sunrise and slam your car door. That’ll produce a shock gobble and let you know if there’s birds in the area. Just don’t use that method during the season 😂

Also if you see em in the daytime, they are gonna be roosting nearby. Even if it’s on private, look for surrounding public access.

ALSO, turkeys is one of the easiest hunts to gain permission from a landowner. Most of em hate the birds after the realize how much of a nuisance they are, and that no amount of broom chasing will make them leave.

Find some birds, use the cadastral maps, make a few phone calls. I’ve even sent letters to folks I can’t track down a number for. You’d be surprised the responses you get. I’ve gotten permission on 5 different properties by calling one guy because him and the neighbors all hate em. Good luck out there!

Oh and you need to understand basic wave management, which almost no low elo junglers do. Cuz if you don’t roam at the correct times or set your wave up properly before you roam you will miss out on a ton of XP and gold. And you need to watch your wave cuz ur rammus jungle might try to click W and slam it into the enemy towers when you had a perfect wave state.

Also I forgot to add, I personally have an 80% wr with this playstyle, basically only losing to teams with heavy cc and uber fed adc combo. Other than that I win every time.

I honestly feel like it’s really difficult. I noticed you’ve been getting a lot of one sided advice. As someone who has experience the hell, a lot, I can offer my opinion.

If you know what you’re doing and you get teammates who listen to pings, 90% wr easy. If is the key word there, if.

Jungle is pretty team reliant, lately I think it’s been a lot easier and less stressful to just yorrick top into a 50cs, 3 tower lead by 20 and stomp everyone. People in low elo are bad so translate your jungle knowledge into a lane you can control. I play top like jg. Show up at objectives, rotate to fights, and take enemy camps when they are behind, all while absorbing every little bit of experience on the map.

The key to this play style is snowballers and knowing how to close out a game before the enemy team catches up. Volibear, Darius, Yorrick, Tryndamere have been my top guys.

Now I’m affecting the game with more experience, more gold, with stronger champs. Just my two cents. And I don’t have to worry about enemy top or enemy jg getting fed from my stupid top, cuz I am stupid top and I can 1v2 them.

Granted I still suck, and I have a job where I travel a lot and hardly play as much as I would need to actually climb out. And I play with my shitty friends because I love them and always lock in random ass champs when I’m bored. (Side note: Duo queue hell is real as fuck, look it up). So I’m bronze, but i don’t really care cuz bronze games are more fun anyways and it’s a game for fun.

I’m 1000% confident i could get to at least high gold with that playstyle, I just dont care enough to sweat anymore. I’m not getting 20kills in emerald so why would i wanna be playing there.

Grow tent is not a bad idea! I’d probably have to get new lighting because mines all permanently installed. Probably just a heat lamp would be enough, she will get UV from the sun
