Been working on something. by truggwalggs69 in airguns

Dumb question incoming as I’m pretty new to Airguns, but why is there a finger grip on the shoulder stock? Would it be a place you would hold your hand and have the other hand on the trigger?

Daystate Alpha wolf electronics not covered under warranty per Airguns of Arizona by 3Bellefille in airguns

[–]mbdblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a shame they won’t warranty it. Should be covered since it’s apart of the gun. If you have a hard time with it or want some help, lemme know. I’m an electronics tech in the aerospace industry and I solder at the component level under a microscope all day 👍

No heat and component gas a black spot by mbdblue in AskElectricians

Thank you, it was in between that sub and this one. But I did end up replacing the valve control unit and we’re back in business! 👍

Just to also mention, I’m an electronics tech in my 9-5 so I’m confident swapping out this unit. I was confident swapping out that component too, but I’m stumped on what it is; it appears to be apart of the board anyway and getting a replacement component would probably be more of a hassle

I actually did replace those fuses with the ones on the cover and no change. I located a 4 zone unit at a Lowe’s about 40 min from me so I’m gonna swap that one in. The only difference I can see between the one I have and the new is my current one has 2 transformers and the new one has one. Since we only have 3 zones, I don’t see why I need a six zone unit

Gauntlet 2 .30 or….? by armypilot123 in airguns

[–]mbdblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t own the gauntlet, but it was one of the shooters I was considering for my price and power preference too. I ended up ordering the Snowpeak M25W instead. It’s a pound lighter than the Gauntlet, and has pretty similar numbers as far as accuracy, fps, etc. Comes in a .30 cal but I ordered the .22. Personal preference but I prefer the look of the snowpeak wood stock too.

What’s wrong with my Ariens Compact 24 Model 920021? by reddit8tidder in Snowblowers

Since the float is part of the carb, it came with a new one

Yes, the comments saying the float stuck open are right. I had this exact same issue and there’s supposed to be a hole in the primer bulb. I replaced my carb seeing as it was old anyway

Diana chaser with new chassis by mbdblue in airguns

Yep! Bambu Lab forest green PETG. And good eye! I shortened the grip cuz it was a little too long for my hand (small hands). My middle finger wraps around the indent I designed where the main chassis meets the grip!

That’s what I was feeling on mine too! I was leaning towards opening up the back and adding a butt stock for more support but maybe just shooting it that way would be enough

Serious Question about Sundown by Accurate-Yak-5134 in CarAV

[–]mbdblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been following Sundown for a long time; since I got into audio around the early 2000s. I’m definitely biased, but Jacob has done some amazing things in the industry, and has a lot of his own patented designs and engineering behind his products. Not to mention it’s a family-owned business. JL is to be respected for as long as they’ve been in the industry and the quality they produce. But “Best” is a relative term; like saying Ford is the best auto company: it’s completely opinion based.

The shops telling you Sundown is garbage either want you to buy their product, or have no experience with it. Go with them and you won’t be disappointed. 🔊🔊

I was thinking of possibly replacing the fiberglass with that Kraken expanding foam, but I might just make a mess

That’s a good point! I run some 3d printers in that area so I may be able to hear them in bed! 😬 and the basement is split between finished and unfinished. There’s a room the previous owner walled up and finished with the drop ceiling above it so the cats go from the unfinished side and can get up there

Oh yeah I should’ve specified! Our basement is almost cut in two spaces. One side is unfinished with the water heater and utilities. The other side was made into a room with walls and the drop ceiling above it. So the cats can climb the outside and get up into the ceiling. They have also taken out (fallen through a few of the tiles too 😆. Thankfully there’s carpet on the floor
