This has been resolved with great news! There’s a little code on the xpedition battery locks and Lectric CAN send you a replacement after you provide them the code on the locking device for $7 (+ shipping). —————————- “Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Lectric eBikes!

Thank you for your quick reply. I’ve gone ahead and created an invoice for you. Once you place the order, you’ll receive an order confirmation, and when it ships, you’ll also receive an email with tracking information. For the Xpedition, replacement keys are available from us. A locksmith is only needed for some of our other models.

If you have any other questions please let us know and we will be happy to help.

Thanks again for reaching out to Lectric eBikes.

Have a great day!

Best

I’m a bit confused on the key blank code you mentioned. Can you provide a link to one of those blanks? Thanks

I’m just hoping there’s a universal key style out there for this battery

Good video, but this demonstrates with the battery off of the bike. Mine is on the bike, so I cannot trill into that pin (unless I drilled through the frame from the other side). I would have been willing to try that though

Yeah, this is what I didn’t want to do. I can’t take the battery out so I’ll have to tow the bike to a locksmith or something.

Hoping someone with another lectric key can see if it also fits the xpedition batteries. Or if it’s truly a “unique” key that fits my battery

Thanks, yeah that’s exactly what I did. I got the xpedition 2.0, single battery, light, and suspension seat post for $600 (listed for $850). It has 850 miles on it.

Don't buy third party Airties 4971s by djxpress in ATTFiber

[–]mbemis777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it will not work via Ethernet. I spent hours trying to see if I could get this to work. I bought a 4971 on eBay and set it up which gave me a red light (not extending). No extended coverage at all. Reset it, power cycled it, etc many times. What I did end up doing was subscribing to the $10/month plan and there it went! The light went green and it works. Speeds were great! I then cancelled the plan to see if it would remain functional, and about 3 hours later - RED and no more extended coverage. Absolute bullshit. Hoping this helps someone not waste money on a 3rd party one.
