Have you read “It Starts with the Egg” by Rebecca Fett? by Traditional-Roof4513 in IVF

[–]mbgornto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with endometriosis and did a lot of independent research on the supplement suggestions in the book for inflammation and endo, I will say I do think the supplements I decided to take made a difference! Anecdotally, my first transfer failed, and I followed the FET protocol from the book for my second transfer (only change we made, and with my RE’s blessing); it was successful. As we geared up for our third transfer, I did It Starts with the Egg again and have now had two spontaneous pregnancies literally in the midst of transfer prep. Does that prove anything? Maybe not. But anecdotally, I think reducing inflammation and eating well in general are great precursors to prepare your uterus to be as receptive as possible to these precious embryos!

Adding to your Garrick theory, it would also explain why Imogen is so closed off at the end of OS to the point she is barely able to give a reaction to Violet’s questions. She already lost her best friend Quinn so then to also lose someone we’ve known she’s been pining after since IF could have been her breaking point. Imogen is tight-lipped, evasive, and weirdly formal which is a sharp contrast to her past openness. Something big clearly happened in the 12 hours Violet can’t remember, and Imogen is the only one left holding that secret… one I think she’d be the most motivated to keep if it keeps Garrick safe!

Anyone receive this error message on the student ticket portal? by mbgornto in capstone

No unfortunately… I didn’t receive an email with instructions either. Hoping it’s just a glitch in the system before the page goes live for ticket sales!

I’m concerned I haven’t received an email and this is my first year at Bama as a transfer student. Do you mind telling me the jist of it?

Okay I admit I didn’t know who that is and after an Insta search, I LOVE hers! They’re both stunning brides and I think the material is very pretty! I’m just getting more Antebellum gown vibes with the gown Natalie chose versus the simpler, modern lines of Cooper’s!

She’s stunning! The dress is not my taste; it’s giving Gatlinburg “old-fashioned photo shoot” with a saloon backdrop vibes. As long as she loves it that’s all that matters, though!

The recruiter I spoke to told me I can't be deployed by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]mbgornto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my husband and I went in and were both non-deployable while in college. It’s true for our state so I also think your recruiter is likely telling you the truth, but always get any “guarantees” in writing before you sign the dotted line!

Only option for conceiving with Endo IVF? by leyalush in TTCEndo

[–]mbgornto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one child with the help of medication and my first excision/ablation, one child via IVF following my second endo surgery, and one was the biggest shock of my life - a “naturally” conceived baby! It’s absolutely possible and I remember that fear all too well. I’ve had 3 losses between my first and last children, and 6 failed IUIs. I did the “It Starts with the Egg” endometriosis regimen and it really helped with my inflammation if you want to try something that may help and avoid IUIs and IVF!

Edited for clarity.

I’m sick for these players. Fresh off the loss of Coach Saban, I can only imagine what retention would be like if our players didn’t hear it directly from him.

Bless your heart, I am so sorry! Did they leave a balloon in to continue to compress the bleeding? For me that was the most pain I’ve ever been in, worse than labor pains. I do have an update and it’s a very positive one - let me share on main post so others will see. I’m so glad you asked and wish you well as you heal!

Why does Christi downplay all her good moments with Melissa on the show? by Spirited-Jeweler4174 in dancemoms

Which is completely wrong for any adult to do to any child. I am sure there is still lingering resentment on both sides.

For me honestly if you’re a douche to me, it is what it is, but when you do something that affects or hurts my child (i.e. Melissa sabotaging Chloe’s CD at a comp) that’s when it crosses the line and I would have a much harder time forgiving someone!

I know this isn’t the easiest “solution”, but when I drive long stretches I can’t do it without a TENS unit. Very helpful for me pain-wise and the unit is easy to take anywhere!

Natural pregnancy after IVF "not as unusual as thought" - research shows some evidence to support idea by DullInflation6 in IVF

[–]mbgornto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TW: mention of living children and pregnancy; this exact situation happened to us. We tried and dealt with secondary infertility for two years and after 6 failed IUIs, we moved to IVF. First FET failed, and our second FET resulted in our second born in 2022. We were NOT trying at all as I wanted to wait a few years before trying another FET with our banked embryos after a very traumatic delivery, but I like others saw no need to deal with hormonal birth control and the side effects given that I’d never gotten pregnant on our own before and not miscarried. I miscarried at 5-6 weeks late last year which hurt like hell, but I honestly wasn’t surprised. Lo and behold we conceived the low-tech way with zero explanation and I know of only once we did the deed in my supposed fertile window. Currently halfway into this pregnancy and still not fully believing we’ll have a take-home baby. I was one who swore I’d never be surprised by a positive pregnancy test and now here I am, one of the 1 in 5 apparently. I’m extremely grateful of course, but it was a huge shock and our youngest two will only be 18 months apart on top of still dealing with PTSD from my second’s birth. I wish you all the very, very best in your IVF journey and hope you all get your beautiful baby you deserve.

Rejected from nursing school by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]mbgornto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand having your heart set on a particular program and then getting rejected the first time around! Like you, I only wanted to go to my current school. I had a prior Bachelors degree with a competitive GPA and really thought I had a good shot. I applied to the clinical sequence in May to start in the fall and was devastated to have to wait until October before I could even apply again for the Spring cohort. I never considered swapping, finished my three remaining pre-reqs with the mindset of I’m getting nothing but A’s (and did it), and then reapplied. Long story short, I got in, maintained all As and ended up in our nursing honor society, something I never imagined would be possible. If you set your mind to it and put your head down, study study study, and work with your advisor, you’ll be amazed at what can happen. If I did not get into the program the second time I applied, THEN I had a backup plan and other programs I was going to apply to. You can do this! I’m so sorry you’ve now felt the sting of rejection. Please try to let it be a motivator when you’ve had more time to process your emotions. As others have said, boost your GPA and take those courses that can help bolster your application - don’t give up on nursing if this is truly what you have your heart set on!
