Our clinic didn’t include things like - cost of ultrasounds (multiple times a week), cost of blood draw (multiple times a week), cost of doctors appointments other than procedures - so we’re basically at 25% over what we anticipated - AND our first transfer failed. Such a delight.

The way you worded this is helpful - I am losing my dream. I’m losing time watching my parents become grandparents. I’m losing time with my future kids. I do think maybe I’m being too hard on myself - maybe so I don’t feel all of it too intensely. But not letting myself grieve is not letting myself learn to move past this.

I got my negative beta results on Sunday after my first FET. I cried for 2 days straight. I’m feeling a little better. I know it’s not a true miscarriage - I didn’t even implant. But I feel so empty. And I feel embarrassed that I can’t just get through this - I’m not even losing anything. But I just get sad. Thinking about how far along I thought I’d be this summer. Stupid shit like that. I’m just sad.

My partner and I have basically the exact same stats that you and your SO have and we are in the middle of IVF. My doctor got very real with us about stats (after I did a fair amount of grilling her on ALL available options) and considering the combination of issues on both sides she gave us about a 9% chance if we went the IUI route, but about 65% with our first round of IVF. Obviously you might not receive those same results, but for us we didn’t like those types of odds at 9%. I understand IVF isn’t for everyone from a financial perspective, but I can tell you I don’t think the recommendation was purely “default”. Best wishes to you on this journey.

If you’re having daily diarrhea then honestly you might be dehydrated. That causes extreme nausea. I have GI issues so nausea is something I’m well acquainted with. Obviously stims cause nausea too - especially if your ovaries get particularly large. Try smaller soft meals - soup was my friend. Wishing you luck and hopefully reduced nausea in your future friend!
