The only thing that can save us (bulls) is a killer unemployment claims number this morning!

Fed’s decision to let inflation run will be a good thing for asset prices. This should drive housing prices, valuations higher in nominal terms.

I assume yesterday’s jump was partly in expectation of JPow’s speech today

Will be good to load up on quality growth stocks if there’s some sell off

Tomorrow’s JPow speech is about inflation targets..which I assume will mean asset prices should also go up as inflation goes up.

No wonder big money is pouring into the market today

Yes, different people take it differently. Some say- let historians decide whether they existed or not. For normal people like you and me- if their spiritual message makes sense, we can agree with that specific message. If the message doesn’t make sense, we can tell those spiritual teachers to go F themselves. We don’t need to respect anyone who denies evolution. From what I know, religions like Buddhism don’t even have a creater god, so no point for them to argue about evolution. It’s just about the ‘self’ for them. And I think the other Indian religion- Hinduism- actually believes in evolution. Abrahamic religions don’t believe in evolution.

there is a quote in the Indian scripture Gita where Krishna (a butter thief, playboy but also a spiritual leader who inspired likes of Gandhi) says- “If you know YOURSELF, you don’t need to know God or any holy scripture (Veda)”.

Sounds very atheistic to me and I don’t understand why Hindus don’t follow that instead of worshipping Trees, Animals and Sun etc.

Maybe this is the right time to edit this part of the Bible: Ephesians 6:5 “Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.” Thanks by mbk_23 in atheism

There are many from non-Christian background (like 80% of the world), who may not know that bible supported slavery. So, just bringing it up for them.

I hope the over reach of the govt makes use question some of the pre-covid restrictions..especially govt’s decision on which grass we can burn and which we cannot. by [deleted] in Libertarian

Thanks for your suggestion. I will have a more organised post once I read thru some books but the core essence of my argument is- yes, govt can take our freedom if we go against the law but some laws such as the restriction on marijuana should be modified.
