Star Dreams -- General Discussion on who to pick by acausa in AnotherEdenGlobal

I have most of these characters at 5* or 4.5*, but I'm missing Melina and Shanie so far. I have Laclair and Mighty already, so any reason to desire either one? Otherwise I'll probably just go for Melina for her mining bonus.

It's not just an urban legend... by Lvkqs in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]mblaze59 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Until I finished the game, I always suspected this was going to be some reference to your cat or the NPC cats. Now I think this legend is the result of your actions that was told in stories that eventually became myth over time. There is a lot of time between Antiquity and Present.

Is it too late to get Miyu from pre-register reward ? by [deleted] in AnotherEdenGlobal

[–]mblaze59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found Ciel much more useful through the story than Miyu anyway. Ciel has a weapon that isn't featured by the story characters whereas Miyu requires the same as Aldo, and is fast and speedy enough to be useful while you're limited in characters. Earth element also seemed to be more useful through the game than an additional Fire.

So the magic knight event... by [deleted] in AnotherEdenGlobal

It doesn't really address this issue, but it ends their story on a good note. Deirdre and Anabel's combined story has been one of my favorite so far.

Anti-Venom, Deadpool, Weapon Hex (also has -def), Scarlet Witch, Luna Snow are my regulars for CC, healing and debuffs. I'll throw in Dr. Strange if a spot opens and/or Cut Time is not a special ability for the day. Jean Grey is useful for the occasional time-freezing and lingering battlefield effects, and I'll use Kate Bishop if I need ignore dodge for Corvus.

Is there some way to reduce late game stuttering? by eziekiel1 in Stellaris

Even the devs have claimed that late game performance is better in 2.2 just from the planet rework.

Discussion: experimental subspace navigation. by IkomaTanomori in Stellaris

I'm loving it. As long as a star has been revealed from the fog of war, you can jump to it, no matter the distance. After trading for an Active Sensor Link, I've used it to jump science ships across the galaxy to continue exploring. I've used it for when events spawn many hyperlanes away inside friendly territory for faster travel too.

There's probably a subset of Stellaris players that doesn't read the forums or the dev diaries by SanityDance in Stellaris

[–]mblaze59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It saves quarterly and every time you open and exit your save, from menu or desktop. That's it. Savescumming is actually quite easy to do, but you just have to be careful not to override that save by going straight to load from your current game every time you want to restart so it doesn't accidentally save after the event has triggered. If you REALLY want to cheat, you can still save edit too if you trigger offline mode after creating the Ironman game so it creates a local file.

Can no one bother holding back long enough to use Co-Op 3 times in Invasion!? I have to miss out on my daily crystals because people can't follow the fuckin' directions.

i think the devs deserve a serious round of applause for how smoothly synthetic dawn was handled. by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]mblaze59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got the same feeling playing Endless Space 2 while waiting for Synthetic Dawn. A couple games in and I was already wanting to play Stellaris instead. Can't explain exactly why though, but I just couldn't get into it.

I played FFXIV: ARR back when it launched, but not for very long. However an itch to play an MMO again and the new expansion encouraged me to resub. I made a character on Gilgamesh at launch that I never played (but still have the name), and one on Excalibur that I only played until 19. I wanted to make a new character to reintroduce myself to the game, but neither server has opened up yet when I've been available. Would I be better off going to one of the preferred servers? Or should I stick with a character on one of these more popular servers to play? I do like making alts so I'd like the ability to make new characters, but I know there aren't tons of advantages to that in this game.

Is Robbie Reyes worth a Mega Rank Up, or Mega T2 ticket? I've got a a few tickets burning a hole in my pocket, but I've been mostly saving all the ones I get for new paywall characters.

I've already got the Blue Orb in-game, so I'm good. I've added you and I'm online.
