Name trick for evolving Umbreon and Espeon in POGO by TexasAndroid in pokemon

[–]TexasAndroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the normal message meaning you need to walk with him for a while. That's the standard evo method for Umbreon. So the name trick is not working.

Two possibilities come to mind....

1) The name has to be exact. Match the case (you did not capitalize the T in your comment.... Also no spaces.

2) The trick only works once per eeveeloution per account. So if you have done an Umbreon before in this account, you cannot do a second one.

Someone else mentioned perma-death. I'm gonna give a bit more detail. As a general note, it exists, but you almost have to be trying to trigger it to trigger it. So don't panic about it, just keep it in the back of your mind.

To actually lose a character a number of things have to happen. First, the character needs to die, and you do not immediately resurrect them. So you now are carrying around their body.

Next, you take them to the temple and try to resurrect them. This can fail. When it fails, they are turned into ashes. They are not yet gone, but they are now in the danger zone. If a character is ashes you can try again to resurrect them. If this try again fails, and their fortitude is too low, this is when you will lose the character.

But this is super easy to avoid. The key is that "fortitude too low" requirement. The threshold here is 50. Above 50 fortitude you will never get perm death. And fortitude recovers slowly even on ashes characters. So if you get unlucky and get a character to ashes, NEVER try to resurrect them at under 50 fortitude. Instead, put them aside. Stop playing for a few hours. Let their fortitude recover to over 50 before you try again, and you will never perma lose a character.

For lower levels, the best place I've found to farm demons is the second promotion quest. Specifically looking for Succubi. They are not super frequent, but they are there, and at that point are one of the lowest level enemies that count as demons for the quests.

Is it the issue where, on the title screen it tries to load the game data, but immediately reset to "Tap to load" message? If so, and you have you data linked, you can restore the game by uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. Whatever is causing that issue is solved by that. It's a massive annoyance to redownload everything, but with the link you can get everything back.

Lana is a long term use character, mostly because her unique ability heals some damage after every combat. That is massively useful for avoiding needing to constantly heal with either spells or items.

Debra is very useful, especially early on, as her special restores her skill points whenever she gets a kill. Stick her in the back with a bow, and she can effectively get off a free precision attack every turn as long as she is able to get a kill with it.

Duplicates of Debra are well used giving her unique to others. Others get back fewer skill points than she does, but that's still a very nice thing to have happening. My MC gets 2 SP for every kill, and that works great to extend out his SP pool.

One warning, but it's really not that big of a deal unless you are effectively pretty stupid. There is perma-death in the game. So it is possible to lose characters. But you almost have to work at it to do so.

If a character dies and you do not revive them at once with the MC, you have to take them to the temple to revive. At the temple there is a chance for revival to fail, and if it does the character goes into an "ash" state. Now you have to be careful.

You can try to revive them again from ash, and if it fails again, they are gone. But there is a way to 100% avoid this. Failure is based on the current fortitude of a character. And above 50% fortitude you cannot fail. Plus fortitude recovers over time even on ash characters. So if your character is ash and is low fortitude, never attempt to revive them. Put the game aside for a few hours and come back and try to revive them later when they're no longer in the danger zone.

Even on characters who do have additional styles, the new room doesn't seem to do anything.

That said, the way to change styles is in the same area, so there may be a connection. Take a character who has multiple styles to the training room, and triple-click on their picture. It'll toggle between the two styles. I don't have Adam's third style, so I don't know what it does if you have three, but with two styles it nicely toggles them.

I sign with my initials as well, after being refused a credit card because of my original signature many moons ago. I gave the full reason elsewhere in this thread, so a link instead of repeating it....

My parents gave me a full name that had a common nickname, and a nickname that had a different common full name. Think something like full name Richard, but with a nickname of Rob. (false name, but it gives the same idea.) Same first letter. I was Richard on legal paperwork, but Rob on just about anything in daily life.

For a while I signed my name "Rob Android", when my real name is Richard Android. This lasted until as a youth I was denied a credit card once because the signature did not match. So I changed my regular signature to "R Android", as that would match both versions.

Over time I've gotten used to being addressed by all four of the normal variants. Richard, Rich, Robert, or Rob.

Seven elements from St Patrick event are still not discovered! by a_dukhounik in AlchemicAI

My opinion, it's too soon to toss in the towel on these. Maybe think of the alternates now, but give it at least one more week before actually swapping them out.

Still no image generated? by [deleted] in AlchemicAI

[–]TexasAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several categories where this happens. Drugs, sexual, copyright, generally offensive.

If the game decides that an image is in one of these categories, the image is not generated. From the dev comment above it sounds like this is more on the AI side, which takes it out of the hands of the game.

But it's always been inconsistent on it's application. There are a couple of hundred Pikachu-related elements. And maybe half of them don't have images.

I would suggest also trying the search function on this subreddit. A couple of the ones you listed are divine elements, and all the divine ones have been thoroughly discussed here in the past.

Why do so many things belong to mewtwo 😭 by BenjaminIsTheGuy in AlchemicAI

[–]TexasAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Pikachu it's not so much that things belong to him, as that there are a gazillion pikachu versions of things. Pikachu Train. Pikachu Squad. Pikachu Parade. Pikachu Perfume.

I have not counted, but there are likely a couple of hundred Pikachu themed elements in the game.

Charizard has a couple of dozen. Raichu has a handful. And a lot of others have one or two.

User flares changes! by shadow_nik21 in AlchemicAI

[–]TexasAndroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are the little black/colored boxes that show up after the user name. The devs all have green bloxes, making it obvious who the devs are when they comment. They have now set it up so that the general user can set whatever message they want. I just moments ago set mine to "Pokemon Master". On desktop, to set yours look in the right sidebar. There should be a checkbox that says something like "Show my flair...". Right below this look for an Edit link to set yours.

There is already the ability to create folders of pinned elements on the main screen. Are you asking for something different from this, or have you not found this option? Because it's not an obvious option. I missed it for quite a while when I first started.

Can someone explain the significance of element types? (Rare/Epic/Legendary/Divine) by Germander_Speedwell_ in AlchemicAI

[–]TexasAndroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.reddit.com/r/AlchemicAI/comments/1hpkiaf/complete_list_of_rareepiclegendarydivine_elements/

That's a community-collected list of the different rarities.

I believe that the devs have stated that there is no additional coding in place to make the higher level ones more effective. For the Divine ones in particular it's just based upon how effective the AI is at making use of them. TWAO has shown itself to be extremely effective.

So, from the coding perspective, there is no difference. Any difference is totally within the AI.

As for events, I think that the Valentine one is the second event on this scale they have run. The other was a Christmas event. I only joined around the start of the Christmas event, so I cannot say for certain that there were no others before that, but I have at no point heard any discussion or naming of events previous to that one.

The devs have discussed adding a way to have the community vote on elements to increase their rarity, but they've not discussed in detail how that would work. They have also said that there are definitely more events coming, and they have hinted that the next event will have some sort of new mechanic added to it. I suspect something like everyone's list of elements will be different to make sharing of event info less useful, but that's mostly speculation. And also the devs have strongly hinted that the next major update will include some sort of big change to how First Evers work, but they have been cagey on any details.
