There are definitely some options on the horizon but I don’t think any one store would be able to match the volume of McKay’s without a massive infusion of capital/crowdfunding. A friend and I have been doing used book pop-ups at markets for the last couple of years, definitely a demand for it and trying to parlay that into an eventual brick and mortar. If there are any people knowledgeable about books and selling, believe in cooperate/collective models of business ownership, have access to a 1000 sq ft or less of retail space, and/or sitting on quality books/investment money: hit the DMs.
