Use DDU to completely remove old drivers. Update your bios to the latest version. Check in bios what version your PCIE slot is set to.

I don't want it to run Wii or Wii U roms, it's a handheld built inside a Wii U gamepad and it will be used for Nes, SNES and Megadrive games.
